Naruto…huh?

This happened just awhile back. A little kid asked me, “auntie, what’s the spelling of naruto dot com?” i asked again because i thought i didn’t heard her right. And she replied the same thing. I saw that she was on her dad’s chair inside her dad’s office facing her dad’s computer. So i asked her, “what are you going to do with naruto?” She said, “am going to play.” So i was thinking hard on what’s the spelling. I don’t watch TV but i heard naruto is on TV. The only naruto i knew is the baby of one of our teacher couple who has a baby boy nicknamed Naruto. I spelled it that way hoping that am correct. So i wrote in the piece of paper that she handed me – www.naruto.com and gave it back to her. I then went back to my seat at the pc. After awhile she came near and said, auntie, it’s not working. Huh? So i tried it in my own pc. And it worked. I checked it inside and she did not type it the way it should be typed. So i corrected and viola! Naruto’s site front page was on. She then showed me that shy big smile.

As i was trying to think back on the time when i was her age – oh my gosh, i never laid hand on any computer yet even a type writier. I started playing with the typewriter when i was 10 years old already and then the computer i was already in college. First year college. And pc games didn’t exist during my time yet and now asyoung as 4 or 5 can now play games on pc. Ahhh i belong na jud diay to the karaan era. LOL!

Ohhh she came near me again and said, “auntie, how to write barbie dot com?” Am not alien with Barbie coz my daughter loves Barbie and often plays Barbie stuff online.
