August Rush

I have heard of this movie for the last two weeks and i’ve been looking forward to watching it.  I thought it was new as in brandnew but checking it out it was a 2007.  After several weeks of waiting i have watched the movie today.

It’s a story of strangers having a one great night of their lives and fated not to be together not because they wanted to but because other parties decides that they are not fated together.  That one unforgetable night impregnated Lyla but unfortunately she met an accident and during her unconsciousness her father decided that the baby will be up for adoption.  And when she woke up her father told her that the baby did not make it.

Lyla is a musician.  She plays a cello but after that accident, she decided to stop playing but made teaching kids her career.   When her father was in deathbed, her father told her the truth and that was 11 years later.

Louie the guy, also made another direction when it comes to career.  He stopped singing with the band and even left his buddies.  All along, he can’t forget that girl, Lyla.  He did not know that they got a child.  One day he decided to google for Lyla and she found her.  He flew to Chicago to see Lyla but that time Lyla was in New York for the concert of the NY Philharmonic Orchestra.

Their son was a prodigee in music.  He is so cute and he did not lose hope in hoping that his parents will find him someday or he will be the one to find them.   At the concert of August Rush, where Lyla also was a guest performer,  the 3 of them was in the same place and the kid felt it.

The movie ended with a smile on Evan’s face.  He knew he has found a home.  He knew that his home is somewhere in the crowd.  Though it was not shown that the 3 of them get together after the concert.  Somehow, i hope there would be a sequel to this movie.  I wanna know what happened after the concert.  :)

For me, i’d like to rate the movie PG 13.  Kids can watch but with supervision.

Here are some pics of the movie:

Fredie Highmore the August Rush in the movie.

Keri Russell (Lyla) and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (Louie) on that unforgetable night.

the father and son met yet they didn’t know they were related.  but when Louie left that moment, he can’t help but always look back at the boy.  He was so impressed with the guitar skills of August Rush.

Have you watched the movie already?  If not yet, then watch it now and enjoy it with your family and friends. :)

1.Does your age make you feel left out?  of course not! It does not matter the numbers increase but in my heart am gonna be forever young. :)

2. How do people of the same gender as you but taller than yourself make you feel?  There are times i feel intimidated but most of the time, i don’t care at all.

3.When did you last scream? Why?  Last week.  Screamed at Dimple coz she bugged me.  I hate her lazyness.  Not just scream but throw something at her.

4. What do other people do that irritate you that you recognize it as a weakness in yourself?  I will just keep quiet. :)

5. Have you ever slipped on a banana peel?  Not yet.  And i don’t wish for a first time.

6. Have you ever walked around someone else’s home barefoot? Of course!  Before my highschool years, we go barefoot in our own home.

7. What do you do when you are left home alone?  Read, sleep, get online.

8. When someone is vague or confusing, how do you process it?  It depends on the person, i do ask directly.

9. Typically, when someone says to you: “I’ll be five minutes”, how long do they actually take?  For a person who is real time conscious “5 minutes is really 5 minutes” but for someone who is used to getting late that 5 could last 30 minutes or more.  Horrible!  And it depends on the person, too, if that happens, iniiwanan ko sila.

10. For you, what is the best word in the English language?  HOPE

Feeling Better Today

Yesterday i was feeling a bit rotten.  There’s that empty feeling in me and it’s horrible to feel it.  Though i received an email from a former friend that made me smile and think nicely of me, yet, i can feel there’s something missing.

One of the things that bothers me now is the less oppss offered. Hmmm it’s like the Christmas seems bleak.  Imagine, we don’t have rice grain at home – be it white rice or corn rice! hahahaa and the handful left was made into a porridge.  Oh well, if it is just me i won’t really mind if i can’t cook cook home or i can ‘teat, but it would be horribly sad if you see your family starving.  I even have moments to question why something like this is happening to me, why i have to be able to this kind of problem in my family, plus the feeling that there’s no one i can ask to help me — it’s really horrible.  But don’t worry am still all smiles.  As in smile – but if someone asks me how i am really, i answered “fine” and “am ok” but they don’t see my tears falling down.

I know God will see us through.

Before i end this post, do you have a friend who is Anorexic or Bulemic?  Or maybe you don’t know should you check if your friend or yourself is having an eating disorder — check out this site.

Am hungry…
