This is my girl. She will be turning 12 this year. Seeing her grow up these latest years always make me whisper thankful thoughts to God. There are moments when i see her as she sleep, laugh, get angry, play — i felt so remorseful thinking that at one moment while i was still conceiving her – i thought of letting her go.   That decisive thought stayed in my mind for half a day but then when they explained to me what is to be done, i became  scared of what will be the future outcome, i decided to keep her.  I told my mom, am gonna go on conceiving her no matter what.  If this is a hard mistake, then i should learn the lesson the hard way.

Months later, the guy told me that if he it is his decision to be heard, then his decision would be for me to let the baby go.  But since it’s my decision so he has to respect my decision.    I never feel bad he thought of that because also me myself have thought of letting go the fetus.

What if i let the fetus go?  What if i let go of my baby?  Then, we would never see the smiles and the growth of this girl.  She was a very cute baby while growing up that i wish she was just a wee baby forever. hehehe  Though she has grown, she still have that sweet girly smile.

Happy Sabbath!

The week of spiritual emphasis culminated today with a get together lunch or potluck.  With inspiring messages and encouragament, I am sure that everyone was filled spiritually.

The center of study this morning was John 14:1-3 – Let not your heart be troubled.  It is a common verse that every Christian memorizes.  How ironic that we memorize the lines yet we do worry so much if we encounter problems even the trivial ones.   We were reminded that though how much we sinned, God is always there for us.

Last night, we celebrated the Feast of Communion after the ordinance of foot washing.  But before the footwashing moments, we were blessed by the reminder of the significance of foot washing in our spiritual journey in life.   The text for the study was found in John 13.    It was my first time to hear someone wondered, “who washed Jeus feet.”    There was not a single record of who was the person that washed Jesus feet.  And if you too will wonder who — then just think that it was only Jesus who washed his own feet after washing everyone of His disciples feet.

Week of  Spiritual Emphasis
Second Semester
AY 2008-2009

Guest Speaker:  Pastor Alger Ravelo
Principal, Western Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital

Theme:  GOD ALONE

Tuesday AM Topic – Meaning of Life – I

1.  Life is a Journey

Life is a journey.  The road is sometimes bumpy, smooth, goes up, and goes down.  There are wide roads, narrow roads, straights ones and also the crooken ones.  We may encounter hardship along the way but at the same time, there is excitement and adventure.

2.  Life is School

As we live this life, there is always learning. No matter how much we dislike the teacher or the lesson but if we give a 100% full attention to them, we learn something – and that something will help us in a way as we go long life’s journey.

3.  Life is a Gift

To receive a gift is an exciting thing.  When we receive a gift we treasure it.  A gift is not a gift when we cannot think of the giver.  And a true gift giving is when we cannot give back that gift.  The Lord gave us a gift that we can’t give HIm back in return and that is Life.

Tuesday PM – Meaning of Life – II

I am suppose to update this post right after the session yesterday but was caught upwith work so i forgot some of the important points.

The message was started with this question — How did you know that God wanted you to be a ….(the course you are taking now)?     Contemplating on the question and the illustration given (speaker’s experience) i too experienced a leading to the course that i took in college.

Some more points i can’t forget are the following:

“In every war, famine, plague, and deathbed is a monument of unanswered prayers.”

“If you’re prayers are unanswered then it means that God has better and greater plans for you.”

“Don’t pray for an easy life because life is never easy.  But pray for a strong character to brace all the hardship in life.”

Wednesday AM – Detour

Detours are sort of normal part of our jouney in life.  They are in the form of feeling lost, unexpected roadblocks or unexpected turn of events.  In my own understanding – detours are sometimes good (will wake  us up to realize that we are going the wrong way) and others say most of the time bad (going the right way but pressures and unexpected turn of events made them go on a detour)

The way we react to detours in life determines if we turn our dreams or plans into nightmares, … or have the tenacity to go on.

3 ways to respond to unexpected problems:

1.  Keep your dreams alive.

2.  Don’t allow the detours of life to hinder you in continuing the full journey of life.

- don’t be afraid to take the longer way.
- problems and trials come because “we are designed for greatness”

3.  To follow our dreams we must have the determination to run the long race – no matter what happens.  No matter what is the past.

- Let us not focus on the roadblocks.  Let us focus on the goals and dreams – no matter what happens.

I miss the days at work when i have so much free time that i can complain too.  Now that am “really” working, i say really because i just have so much work to do that i cannot chat, i cannot plurk, and can’t blog.  Though some days, when am done with work and the atmosphere is a bit relaxed then for sure i can still update one of my blogs from work.

This is just a quick post as i will just be updating the post above this.  Am enjoying the spiritual messages each day.  I can feel that the speaker and messages is speaking right to me.

I am not faithful in my 300 drops per day for each blog, yet i do drop one or two when i can.

Til later everyone!  Thanks for dropping by.

Weekly Round-up

February 16 – 22

My week started MCing a graduation program of the Health care Services Training. After a relaxing week-end, i started the new week with vigor and interest.

This week is suppose to be a busy week enrolling HCST but there were only few who came.

The other days of the week passed by as usual. In some afternoons we had our cheering practice. Thankfully the schedule was moved to next week-end or else yesterday night we would be have doing our yells competition.

Friday i went out to the city to have a pedicure service and did some grocery.    The wished footwear was blocked out of mind because of other important priorities.

Saturday it was a bonding time for me and Dimple. Since she was late for church i stopped her from going late because i was getting paranoid thinking that maybe some bad guys are down ahead the road and will snatch her. I have that feeling these days that some bad persons will snatch kids and raped them. I knew that there are addicts around.

Sunday, another relaxing day at home.   Dimple and i and the cousin (my neice) watched Mr. Bean’s Holiday before they slept.  Since i knew that we have no work today (EDSA anniversary) i slept so late.  Around 2:30 am i guess.  I did not finish a 900 EC drops for the 3 blogs because while EC dropping i was also watching Raising Helen, the sunday big event film in ABS-CBN.   I think i only made a total of 400+ for the 3 blogs.

Today morning, i thought i would wake up early but since i slept morning time already i woke up past 8.  Around 10 am, i went with my sister to the doctor for a pre-natal check-up.  She will be due next week.   And it’s going to be CS. :(     There’s a high risk of danger if we will force it to come out normal.

I Need a New Eyewear

Why i say a new one because my old one does not totally serve it’s purpose now. I acquired my old one in 2005 yet and i guess i really need to buy a new one because I have aged anohter 4 years since that visit to the eye doctor.   My mom needs a new one but she always reasons that it is very expensive to buy a new pair of glasses.

Now check this out:

t_431_081

Did you know that this pair of glass with this stylish sturdy frames only cost $8.00.  Yea only 8 dollars and that is only at Zenni Optical The reason why they can sell durable eyeglasses at low price is because they manufacture their own frames and sell direct to the customers.  So they don’t make budget for middlemen anymore.

A friend purchased 4 pairs of these $8.00 glasses after she read Zenni Optical on New York Times.   They made it to to the news because of it’s quality and low cost.  At Zenni OPtical they make people see wihtout breaking the bank or create a hole in their pockets.    When i told my mom about this, she said how she wished there is a clinic locally.  Butwe will do is ask someone to buy it for us then ship it to the Philippines.  That is what my friend Dinah did.  She bought the 4 pairs in the States and then ship it to the Philippines with other stuff.

The weather was so hot but it can’t be felt if you are swimming in the cool watered seas so almost all of us were burned. See closely the arms and face of my girl, it was became golden brown. After the swimming it gets so warm when it was time to relaxed because the 4 pm sun is still very hot, so my daughter enjoyed a glass of iced tea to cool her.
