WS — Provider of Eggs & Chickens :D
Some of our fowls roaming in the space of our home to the side of the road. There are 3 mother hens now with little chicks and we hope that they gonna grow up and have babies too. Many times i told my mom to stop raising chickens but mom is having second thoughts because these mother hens are giving us fresh eggs.
This photo was taken week-end afternoon when it was showering. They relax at that spot to avoid the rain because they might get sick.

I love the shot. I have a neighbor who has chickens for fresh eggs and they are so fun to watch. People in the city I live in (I’m in the US in NC) can have chickens as long as they don’t have a rooster. It’s a city ordinance.

Arlene, my boys wanted to raise chicks, but I don’t think our dog will leave it alone.

Your comment went to SPAM. As natural as a mother’s instinct, she protects her “chicklings” and little darlings. Have a nice week!

@ Willa — they are almost the same mommy chickens..bt different chicks.
we observed that around 4 weeks, the bigger chicks will hiwalay na from the mother hen.

@ Carver — oh we have big poultrys like that too in other places. But here at home now, we have only 1 rooster for all of them. Thanks for the visit.

@ shosh — ohhh our cats too are very curious of the small chicks and some of the chicks died because the cats don’t have muscle control in playing with them.

@Peachkins — thanks!

@Vannie – merong space for them to roam…but it’s not allowed. Kasama yan kasi sa contract na no pets allowed in the compound and that includes chickens.

Wow, dami na. We tried it before. Nung lumaki na ang chicken at uulamin na, umiyak ang kids ko. Ayaw nila kainin. Hahaha
By admin, May 12, 2009 @ 9:33 pm
@ Liza — hahaha ganun din kami nung maliit pa kami. Pero ngayon di na — kami na mismo magsabi na kung pwede ihawin na ang mga manok.
Thanks for visiting back, Liz!

if only we also have space to grow chicken, we would really have a dozen or more. with free eggs, why not? mas healthy pa na ila eggs compared to the eggs of the layers. d jud mabayot ang batang lalake ng mokaon og itlog nga naturally layed. pero si Dimple, babae man, so safe gihapon. hehehe

@Kerslyn — sa old house ba..dili diay pwede mag buhat ug cage nga good for 5 chickens? pang fresh eggs lang gud. Hala bitaw i heard that chicken makapabayot..tinuud jud diay na?

when my son visited his lolo sa province, he can’t forget that every morning he was the one assigned by gwampa to pick fresh eggs straight from the nest. nice post.

@Bette — yeah that would be a great experience for kids.
