Boredoom Turned into a Night Out with Girlfriends
An outing together with these pretty ladies has been planned in 2011 yet. We were suppose to go out on November 2011 but then we were so busy, we decided to make it on the week before Christmas vacation will start. Unfortunately, typhoon Sendong’s wrath came to Iligan City and each of us got a story to tell. Even few hours before the water came rushing into the house, Ma’am Ruby and I were still texting about the plan of going out and that the three of us would be exchanging gifts. lol! It was sort of a sad Christmas for all of us though we were so thankful that we are all alive and non in our family circle and relatives have died or lost in the big flood.
2012 came. Every time we see each other, we are reminded of the date yet, our work and other work-related and personal appointments overshadow the non-forgotten date. From January to November – all months were full. December came and almost each day I was so busy with work and oh let me say, all of us were busy. Another typhoon was coming our way and threaten us of another huge flood to happen through the wrath of another tropical Typhoon named Pablo. In short, we still were not able to go out even on the month of December.
The school had a two weeks break, but I left for Bohol on the 22nd. So even though both were free, I was away.
Boredoom striked before I called it a night after work. I logged in to Facebook before finally left the office. Ma’am Ruby and I exchanged comments over their RO Christmas and NY program, I craved for a nice cake. A chocolate that is really heavy and I know that the only place near me that has it was Coffeeworks. So when I mentioned it, Ma’am Ruby said that I will tag her along. Her comment reminded me of the date we still haven’t done but planned for a long time already. So I said Yes right away and texted Ma’am Sol! She was already getting ready to sleep, in fact she was already in bed when I texted and was amazed of the invitation to go out at a late hour and with Ma’am Ruby. hahaha
And we did it! We arrived at Coffeeworks at Past 9Pm and we stayed until a little bit 11 PM.
So, this is us with our orders!
I planned to order a big slice of any moist chocolate cake but I ended up ordering that Red velvet cake because of its look. Paired with double chocolate frappe, plus the company of lovely ladies, I felt like I was in heaven. (caffeine overload?) Nah.
These are the food we feasted on:
