See What PayU2Blog Can Do!

I went shopping for a footwear!

I got a new set of office uniform (oh i wish i have a photo of it), one that needs a formal office shoes.  So I was not able to wear the uniform Monday because i still did not have the shoes that will go with it.  After I got the payout Monday noontime, i directly went to the telephone company to check on my bill adjustment and also pay the balance.  Wow my bill was adjusted to a little bit more than five hundred pesos.  Shopping for shoes was next in mind but my time is not enough anymore, so i thought of coming back in the evening.

I have already scouted the shoes last week so i only need to go back to buy it.  So that’s it!

Before i went to the cashier to pay the pair of shoes, i still took time to go around to check other styles.  And i saw one.  I asked a lady to get me the complete pair and when i put tried it on, wow it feels good on my feet. :D   It took me some more minutes to decided when i saw the price.  I can afford the price but I am also thinking i can use the money to pay or to buy other staff.  But then i was also thinking that the last time i bought a good pair of high heels was in 2007 when i was in Bangkok.  The money i used on that was the salary i earned teaching for 8 hrs at my cousin’s school.  So since my Payu2blog earnings are hard earned money, i thought that it is just right i should treat myself for another pair of heels.  So here it is -

P3010222

I am waiting for Saturday so that i can use it.  I always have this  idea that any new thing first used on a Saturday or Sabbath, it will last longer. :)

So, happy new footwears for me!

I now have 7pairs of footwears in the dorm and that includes 2 rubber sleepers.  Though the office shoes will just be a standby pair at the office.  The new heels, it is still hidden away in the locker. :)

Next pay out – it’s Dimple’s time.  It’s almost to her graduation time eh.  Nothing like new dress because she does not need as they are going to use a toga, but i hope to give her something that she wishes for.

All these, thank you Payu2blog for all the tasks given!  You are one great company and am glad i am in Payu2blog wagon.  Thank you also to God for giving me the strength to make a post even though most of the time am tired and not feeling like blogging.  But when there are tasks, i just forgot for some moments that am really down. :)

Some Unforgetables of 2009

Welcome 2010 and goodbye 2009. For me, 2009 was a good year in spite of all the financial struggles. I know money is not everything but i realized that money is a very important tool to get things normally going. It was not a stress-free year although i am praying for a stress-free 2010. I find stress for a challenge me to tackle things so here are some of my unforgetables of 2009

1. Went back to the gym after almost a year
2. My blood sugar was real high for the first time
3. I was not able to take a leave on my birthday but had a grand time with my office mates. There was so much things to do that day because of the upcoming Anniversary program
4. Dimple officially become a little lady on my birthday
5. Kuya Nonoy’s death
6. Former Phil. President (1st Philippine woman President) died.
7. Michael Jackson died
8. Jun Acut’s death
9. MBS2 at Cagayan de Oro City
10. Victim to theft at Uni Top Mall (Dec 30, 2009)
11. Earned only 1/4 of what i earned from Sponsored REviews last year yet PU2B blessings was constant. :)
12. Managed to regularly update 3 blogs (personal, health, and travel blogs) even it’s an add on to my fix job.
13. We had a new baby boy in the family (March 9)
14. Got my first laptop (December 5)
15. Purchased a Globe Tattoo BB (December)
16. Experienced my first zip line and also river rafting (June)
17. Played badminton for some months with co-workers.
In the coming days, i will have to post a summary of the total number of posts i made in this blog and in all my blogs.

Till later, guys!

hAPPY nEw yEAR 2010!

hEY it’s good to be back! It feels like a long time since the last time i logged online. It just means that i have not gone out of the house except on invitations because of the bad experience i had on the 30th so no really money to spare. I just enjoyed time with my friends and also the fireworks we saw on New year’s eve was enough to make us all excited. Even others are excited for circuit city thing. My cousin has told me about it but she is not one of those customers. I’ve seen how the city is filled with people during the days of the holiday season and myyy in some parts you need to bump into someone to pass a way.

Anyway, we spend the 31st at the Maze Park Resorts. It’s my first time to be there and photos will be posted in the coming days. I still was not able to upload it from the camera because the usb cord was left in the office. Now it’s ok to do but the camera is back at home. Am now in the dorm – came home some hours earlier because the students are starting to arrive. One more day to go and i will be back to my office work. Am so excited! hehehe Thanks to Ayen’s invitation (Happy Birthday, girl!) if not for that – i would not have visited that place yet. Nice one! Better than Midway Beach Resort.

When we arrived home, i then tried cooking but before am done i was called to join the new year’s dinner at Oliverio’s apartment car park. Wow they served so much but did not enjoy because i was not feeling hungry. In less than an hour i was called to attend a get together with exchanging of gifts – an appointment with my daughter. It was fun! She sort of unlucky in the dice game but won 100 at the end. I won some pack of bihon, C2, and shampoo, and a set of glasses. I reallly had fun on the 31st that some minutes after 12 i was in deep sleep. Thanks to the anti-histamine i took hours earlier.

Maybe my next post will be some of my unforgetables in the 2009. So watch out for it!

I Just Can’t Say May You Rot in Peace.

I woke up as usual this morning but took more time to do the chores, cook breakfast, and having breakfast. It’s because it’s another non-working holiday in the Philippine calendar, so it’s another long long weekend because of the New Year’s day. I am looking forward to Monday because everyone will be back to work. I miss an office with people. Hehehe

Today, something unforgettable happened. Not a nice one and it’s a lesson learned. I become a victim of theft. I discovered it when i was about to pay some purchases. I placed the money in my coin purse and it was not inside my bag anymore. It was impossible that the wallet fell while i walked around. My bag got no slash. I was not yet accepting that i was a victim. I told the cashier that am going out and check at the first place i was before the malling. – But it was not there!

My bag is black. So at the first look of the purse, it can’t be denied that it is a purse. Good thing they did not also aim for my big black wallet and the digital camera.

Luckily i still have loose change in my main wallet (the one with pertident ids and atm cards) so that prevent me from panicky and act scared coz i had enough fare to get home. That new mall (Chinese mall) was the newest in town so i really took time to have a “me” time and go around the 3 floors. Just like what i used to do in China when i have time. Just go around but not buying anything. But today i was buying some kiddie stuff that i will need tomorrow so i need to find means to secure that certain amount. Good thing there’s more than enough balance in my bdo account so i took a couple of hundreds.

On my way home home, my mind was in tug of war if i should tell my mom about it. Not that i want it to be secret but i hate hearing “i told you so” stuff…but realized abit later that i can’t just keep my mouth shut. Hehehe. She was kind of shock when i told her but i then said that at least someone will be blessed with that little amount. But i believe in karma and that it will go down the generation. Poor family! My mind is in struggle to curse but good thing i still managed not to curse because i know God is always good and will provide all my needs.

On Fraternity

This is just a personal opinion that i wanted to air out from within me.  I can’t stand the thought that i just kept it inside – who knows in some ways there will be others who will be able to understand after reading this post.

Coming from SDA schools, all i know is that joining a fraternity is not allowed.  Lucky are you if not caught but if you are – then it will cost a year-long expulsion from the school.   And it is a rule that exempts no one because it is reflected clearly in the Student Handbook.  It’s a rule that if you are caught violating, even the highest paid lawyer in the country cannot exempt your from it.

I’ve never been recruited to any group.  But i know my brother is a member of one and my sis, too!  Lucky me am not recruited or else i would really say no.  Aside from hazing, i think fraternity is a strong organization of brotherhood or sisterhood.  It feels good to belong especially for late teens or young adults.  But somehow, before one enters into it, at least he has the clear understanding of what he is about to undertake.

Not long back, i saw some students who were  punished (not really expelled from school but only from the work program) because they have joined a fraternity.  My heart goes out to these students because  they never expected that joining the group will cost them their schooling.    Tears were shed.  Their hearts were broken.  These are students who have high hopes to finish an education in spite they can’t afford it financially.   Because of fraternity, they have lost their chance to continue schooling.  It is just my hope that they will be brave enough to come back after a year and continue schooling through the work program.

To those who felt that the school is so heartless to let these students out of the program, well, somehow they will be lightened if they think with an open mind.   It does not mean that one is very poor that if he or she violates a rule, will be exempted.  No! That should not be the case.

To those concerned students, i hope this is a lesson for them to learn.  Am just sorry that it is learned in a hard way.

To those who are recruiting, see to it that your recruits have a deep understanding (good and bad) of what they are about to undertake.

The Semestral Breaks of my Life

As far as i can remember, we never had semestral breaks during our primary school years and highschool years.  Unlike my daughter’s generation, she is enjoying semestral break since she was in the 1st grade.  But I can remember that we have 3 -4 days break from school to do the yearly “Harvest Ingathering.”  An activity wherein we go out to our neighborhood, friends or non-friends, to solicit funds for the Social Welfare Fund to be used for those who are hit by calamities.  Each of us have goals that we have to reach.  When i was in the 6th grade, my goal was 50 pesos.  When i reached freshy highschool, my goal was P200.00.  It was in highschool that I  seriously go out with schoolmates to do soliciting.

During those years, i was informed that in college, they have this semestral break for a week or two and that includes enrollment days.  So when i was in 4th year, i was excited to grow up to college. lol!

I worked my way to college.  It was only in the first year that i experience the life of being a “full-pledge paying student.”  But guess what? I did not make use of that time to study hard.  I used my free time to go out with girlfriends.  I mostly missed first period morning classes because I I just love to sleep and sleep.  Who would not be when the weather is always  conducive for sleeping.    We always have spring weather up in that campus.  If i miss breakfast then i surely miss first periods.  That was my first time in college so i then begin to realize the bad thing of enrolling first period classes.  Result?  My grades were not so good.  I was still adjusting the college life especially my life in the dormitory.  Though i also attending boarding school in highschool, but the college setting and personalities are different.   When semestral break came – i am the only one in my room that went home for the break.   My roommates?  They stayed behind because they are working students.

Working students look forward to breaks because it is the only time they can report to work a whole 8 hours.  And if you are working in some departments, you can even work up 15-16 hours.

Before the year ended, I got a part-time job.  Checking papers.  From December 1990 until I graduated in October 1994, i never stopped working anymore.  I worked my way through.  My parents have a hard time sending me my tuition so the chance of having work was like hitting a gold pot in that college!  Since that time, i never look forward to breaks as time to go home but I then adapt to the idea that semestral or vacations mean long hours of work and it would mean I could pay off my school account in a short time.

My parents then misses me.  But my mom and I never tire ourselves writing each other.  I then look forward to New Year because that is the only occasion I made time to visit home.  Then after new year, I have to travel back to the college.

While working my way to school,  my priority was balanced – work and study.  Working students are scholars.  To maintain my status as working student, I should maintain a passing grade not lower than C.  Because I now learned to manage my time, my grades were better much much better compared to the time I was a full-pledge student.  C+ is not a happy grade for me so I always aim to have a grade higher than that.

Though I missed many semestral breaks in terms of fun like barkada and going places, I became a better person by being able to know how to manage my time wisely.  It made me realize what’s the right course for me.    One thing i missed very much during those years was the library time.

The Library in my school is one of my favorite places.  I often visit the library to read books (not course related) after my graduation.  But during those studying years, daytime free time was always spent at work.   I can have short library time only in the evening when i don’t need have to work over-time.

In 2000-2001, a part of that academic year, I had the chance to work in the library full-time and I was just overwhelmed with the books that I wanna read.

In my current workplace, since it is a school, the students of course have semestral breaks.  They have but it does not mean that workers have free breaks too.  Faculty are entitled to breaks right after they are done with grades, but for the staff, we work all year round.  What i can feel during the 4 semestral breaks i experienced in my current workplace is that — the school is quiet because the hallways are empty.

Monday was the start of our semestral break.  The first day was still ok.  Today is the second day and it almost feel gloomy.  Tomorrow is the third and am sure it would be more quiet compared today.

So how’s the semestral breaks of your life?  Can you still fondly recall them?

Expired

Haiii.  Blame it on me.  I missed to do some tasks so they expired.  I am really so blessed with tasks for the past weeks, plus workload in the office, plus am not feeling so 100% well. Argh!  Help!

For many nights i sleep late because of the water supply so i end not getting up at 5 am.  So my badminton sked this week was interrupt. Poor me…i should be organized.

Am Back…

Hey am back!  The power came back around 7 last night then right away i have to come back in the office to finish something.  I went home around 10 pm.  I guess my resistance was low a bit that i have some colds.  Stuffy nose and foggy head i got this morning so i missed a badminton friendly game.   If i can’t go to the gym today then for sure i should not miss tomorrow mornin’s schedule.
