All these are from Mommy Ebie! Am so thankful to for sharing all these with me. I have posted the same pics at my other blog and she commented that they are going back to Death Valley on April and she will send me more cards. I so love the idea and am excited.
Good thing her daughter, Zeee got some off days from work so they could make long weekend trips to anywhere. I love their mother-daughter bonding time. Sounds expensive and tiring yet it’s a very memorable one.
I got an email earlier last week that she is coming this way very soon. She also left her number so i could text her. As i want to really meet her even long time ago, i texted her and of course wanted a meet-up! And we did! Last Saturday (February 27, 2010, 5:30 pm)
We just asked any of the waiters to take a picture of us. This is just for documentation purposes but i cropped it to hide my big tummy. hahahaa Yen is very beautiful and in person. She got a very sweet and friendly smile that right away i feel it’s like we’re not meeting for the first time. We had a quick dining at Mandarin REsto at the Gaisano Mall.
Yen is the author of the blogs, Notablebistro and Around the World and Me and Mine. Something went wrong with her Me and Mine so the blog does not currently exist. We met online through blogging in 2007 (just when i started blogging) and it’s so nice to feel that after two years we met in person.
Thank you Yen for taking time to meet. I now understand how busy you are and at least this time you took time to see me. Nagkita na jud ta! I hope we meet again next time and promise I won’t be in a hurry to leave for an appointment.
This meeting made me wish for meetings with other online friends in the future. It’s great online kindness and friendliness be felt in the real world.
This is one of the first postcards i received in my life. My sister and I got this when we were in the 4th grade, 25 years ago. The sender was one of our close friends who moved to California that year.
Since then, i got interested in collecting postcards.
The postcards made me see the world beyond my own world.

Dimple (my daughter) was born September 26 in 1997 at Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital in Iligan City while Josh (Bebb’z son) was born on October 11, 1997 at Bacolod Sanitarium and Hospital in Bacolod City.
The exchange of letters between me and Bebbot all those preggy months were regular. We were sharing each and every milestone of our pregnancy. I gave birth ahead and right after i got home i have to share with her via phone what happened if there was pain or how much was the pain.
After she gave birth, we still kept writing and tried to compare the features of our baby. Both babies are cute when they were still small but as they grew up i realized that Josh is lean and very tall while Dimple is also tall but a bit chubby.
I wish that one day we could get together for birthday celebration. The babies met when they were 6 months old in Bacolod. Then the next time was in December 2006 in Cebu City.
I miss Bebbz and her long and newsy letters. I miss the kids too…They are really growing so fast. Each of us now are caught in our personal activities but we still manage to say hi through YM and lately through FB. No matter what i know Bebbz and I will always be friends forever.
It’s Christmas in less than 50 days and i have already halfway checking my list for the recipients of my yearly Christmas cards. I like to post my cards early week of December so that it reach them at Christmas. I have already done the photos to be attached to the cards, too!
Hmmm I really miss Christmas with Bebbz and family. We were together during Christmas 2006 in Cebu.
It was a long and busy day. As of this writing am really tired. I wanted to go home and lay in bed not to mind the noise of whatsoever is going on. But i need to do some updates so here I am — blogging even tired.
Do you wanna know who is the someone Land Down Under that made me smile? Check this out!
Sorry for posting photos galore today. But since i can’t post an album in my facebook so am doing it here so i can share the link in my facebook shoutbox.
I am so very sleepy now plus am not feeling so well (clog nose) so am sharing some of the funeral service photos. Please forgive the poor reception my camera had done but it’s all i can make of:
Moments at the gravesite will follow tomorrow. Katulgon na jud ko.
In relation to this post me and my co workers spent the whole night at the wake. We chose Monday night because the next day was non-working holiday for Iligan City since it was Charter Day. The service got over at around past 9 in the evening but an hour later, another service was done (musical). Then from 11 pm until past 9 the next day i was wide awake. I just thought of it like i was on a night duty but i also realized that there is a certain hour in the early morning that will really doze off. But i don’t want to dozed off. At around 4 am, i went around the chapel take a photo of all the wreaths there — just so i won’t fall asleep.
Ma’am Lalac and I started sitting righ at the back portion of the first row and i told her that maybe in the next hours we would find ourselves at the very front –and it did happen. Around 4 am we were already at the front chatting with some of our hospital friends.
That night there were almost 50 flowers and all were beautiful flower wreaths. Am sure if Kuya can see them all he would be very very happy. But even though Kuya cannot appreciate it anymore, it was the family that was overwhelmed with gratitude that in the midst of their sorrow, love and care of friends can be so much felt. Let me show you some of them. Wish i could post them all but it will eat so much space. I haven’t discovered yet on how to do them with slides, so please just bear with me in this mosaic form:
They are all beautiful right?
That night and even the next day i still can’t find myself to see his face behind that coffin glass. Though i have already seen him last Friday morning but the experience was overwhelming. I kept thinking it can’t be kuya in there. Anyhow, i just kept glancing at his smiling photo – framed and placed on top of his coffin and also the wreath from his beloved children wherein a photo of his is attached at the middle of the heart shaped flower wreaths. Here’s what i mean:
Oppss all flowers are in a slide presentation here:
