Dear John

I just watched the trailer.  I can’t imagine why until now i still haven’t seen this movie.  I guess if we can just freely see a movie in theaters then probably have watched.  Even just the trailer alone, it already made my eyes watery. huhuhu…I’m just waiting for someone in the dorm to download the movie and then i will ask a copy.

Last night, i slept so late (as in morning na) because i was watching No Good Girl, a Chinese teleserye.  It’s a funny one and another thing i love watching it, my chinese is bring brushed up. because the audio is is chinese.  Am still on Part 6 and i thought of continue watching it after having lunch.

A Time to Cry

Women easily cries.  They can cry anytime or or when they are in too much emotion.  I’d always say am tough especially now that am older and more mature yet I realized that there are really times when we need to cry.  A need to cry yet I can’t cry.  So what i usually do is watch a good films.  Good films and good books.   Last week, I had the chance to watch the following movies and I really cried but after crying, I felt good.  :-)

The Blind Side is an American-drama and sports film directed by John Lee.  It’s a story of unconditional love.  You may read the plot of the story here.  Sounds like a detailed plot actually.

My Sister’s Keeper is a movie based on a novel by Jodi Picoult.  It’s about Anna bring conceived to be a biological donor for her sick sister until the time came that Anna realized her freedom to protect herself from further pain.  The story got so many twists.  I thought that the mother is so selfish for always thinking that Anna has no right to defend herself from more agony.  Then i was also horrified thinking that Anna is so selfish for wanting to stop helping her sister from making her well.  But then i also realized that Kate in the film just really wanted to die.

It was a nice movie.  More of the detailed plot here.

I rate the two movies as FAMILY with C HILDREN friendly movie if my opinion is asked.

I also watched LOVE HAPPENS. – Love happens when you least expected it.

The Proposal

Let’s say i have waited to watch this movie since the first time i saw this in a local newspaper some months back.  I know it would be a good movie because Sandra Bullock.  I just love all her movies and she is one of my fav faces in Holywood actresses.

At last yesterday i had the chance to get hold of a copy and some months of waiting paid off.  It’s another kind of movie that i can watch over and over again.  I laugh hard on some funny scenes – scenes that kiddos can’t understand. l0l!  I almost can’t believe that I am watching the movie as I’d like to think that what am watching is a real-life story.  :)

If you haven’t watch the movie yet, then find time to watch it soon.  You will really enjoy it.   You can read the synopsis here.

Autumn in My Heart

I am now watching Autumn in My Heart, the first of the series of Endless Love drama stories produced by Korean TV Network.  I was suppose to sleep this afternoon but it’s been awhile since i watched a movie so i started it.  There’s 16 episodes of it.  My copy is an original one bought in China with chinese sub titles.  Unfortunately my DVD player is not bought locally so the language or subtititles button does not work.

This is the fourth time i watched the whole series of Autumn in My Heart since i got my own copy in 2004 while still in China.

I love the story though it has a sad ending.  Synopsis here.   I haven’t checked if each episode is on you tube but if not, you can try to find a copy and watch it.

It will bleed your heart and you can cry rivers if you are maiyakin. hehehe Though i have watched this 4 times already but i can still cry.

August Rush

I have heard of this movie for the last two weeks and i’ve been looking forward to watching it.  I thought it was new as in brandnew but checking it out it was a 2007.  After several weeks of waiting i have watched the movie today.

It’s a story of strangers having a one great night of their lives and fated not to be together not because they wanted to but because other parties decides that they are not fated together.  That one unforgetable night impregnated Lyla but unfortunately she met an accident and during her unconsciousness her father decided that the baby will be up for adoption.  And when she woke up her father told her that the baby did not make it.

Lyla is a musician.  She plays a cello but after that accident, she decided to stop playing but made teaching kids her career.   When her father was in deathbed, her father told her the truth and that was 11 years later.

Louie the guy, also made another direction when it comes to career.  He stopped singing with the band and even left his buddies.  All along, he can’t forget that girl, Lyla.  He did not know that they got a child.  One day he decided to google for Lyla and she found her.  He flew to Chicago to see Lyla but that time Lyla was in New York for the concert of the NY Philharmonic Orchestra.

Their son was a prodigee in music.  He is so cute and he did not lose hope in hoping that his parents will find him someday or he will be the one to find them.   At the concert of August Rush, where Lyla also was a guest performer,  the 3 of them was in the same place and the kid felt it.

The movie ended with a smile on Evan’s face.  He knew he has found a home.  He knew that his home is somewhere in the crowd.  Though it was not shown that the 3 of them get together after the concert.  Somehow, i hope there would be a sequel to this movie.  I wanna know what happened after the concert.  :)

For me, i’d like to rate the movie PG 13.  Kids can watch but with supervision.

Here are some pics of the movie:

Fredie Highmore the August Rush in the movie.

Keri Russell (Lyla) and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (Louie) on that unforgetable night.

the father and son met yet they didn’t know they were related.  but when Louie left that moment, he can’t help but always look back at the boy.  He was so impressed with the guitar skills of August Rush.

Have you watched the movie already?  If not yet, then watch it now and enjoy it with your family and friends. :)
