I have heard of this movie for the last two weeks and i’ve been looking forward to watching it. I thought it was new as in brandnew but checking it out it was a 2007. After several weeks of waiting i have watched the movie today.
It’s a story of strangers having a one great night of their lives and fated not to be together not because they wanted to but because other parties decides that they are not fated together. That one unforgetable night impregnated Lyla but unfortunately she met an accident and during her unconsciousness her father decided that the baby will be up for adoption. And when she woke up her father told her that the baby did not make it.
Lyla is a musician. She plays a cello but after that accident, she decided to stop playing but made teaching kids her career. When her father was in deathbed, her father told her the truth and that was 11 years later.
Louie the guy, also made another direction when it comes to career. He stopped singing with the band and even left his buddies. All along, he can’t forget that girl, Lyla. He did not know that they got a child. One day he decided to google for Lyla and she found her. He flew to Chicago to see Lyla but that time Lyla was in New York for the concert of the NY Philharmonic Orchestra.
Their son was a prodigee in music. He is so cute and he did not lose hope in hoping that his parents will find him someday or he will be the one to find them. At the concert of August Rush, where Lyla also was a guest performer, the 3 of them was in the same place and the kid felt it.
The movie ended with a smile on Evan’s face. He knew he has found a home. He knew that his home is somewhere in the crowd. Though it was not shown that the 3 of them get together after the concert. Somehow, i hope there would be a sequel to this movie. I wanna know what happened after the concert.
For me, i’d like to rate the movie PG 13. Kids can watch but with supervision.
Here are some pics of the movie:

Fredie Highmore the August Rush in the movie.

Keri Russell (Lyla) and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (Louie) on that unforgetable night.

the father and son met yet they didn’t know they were related. but when Louie left that moment, he can’t help but always look back at the boy. He was so impressed with the guitar skills of August Rush.
Have you watched the movie already? If not yet, then watch it now and enjoy it with your family and friends.
