Am a Paypal-Xoom user ever since i discovered Xoom.  A bit pricey compared to EON (Union Bank) withdrawal but because of bad experiences with EON, i stuck with Xoom.

But sad news, i received this circular:

After March 24, Xoom Will Not Accept PayPal As a Payment Method

Dear Arlene

After Wednesday, March 24, 2010, Xoom will not accept PayPal as a payment method
for money transfers.  Any PayPal-funded transactions that have been placed before that
time will be processed as usual.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change in our service may cause you.

Other Payment Options

You will still be able to pay for a Xoom money transfer to the Philippines by using a
United States bank account, debit card or credit card. Using your United States bank
account is an easy, secure and low cost way to send money with Xoom.

Questions?

If you have any questions or comments regarding this change, you can send us an
email through our Help Center, or call our Customer Service team at 877-815-1531 (within the U.S.) or
415-395-4225 (outside the U.S.). Our call center is available 24 hours per day, 7
days per week.

Sincerely,

Xoom Customer Service Team

Sad news i think. As of now, i still dunno what method to use after the 24th. The coming payout will be this weekend yet and that is after the 24th already. Now i will ask other friends who are using paypal-xoom transaction on what are they going to do after now. But before doing that let me check if this best web directory info will be beneficial for me and my friends. Am sure this is worth a visit.  One friend told me that she will have to check out what makes up the “best” web directory.

Just the other week i signed up for the paypal wish list and earn at same time.   I am trying to find my wish list photo but i can’t find it now.  But i did wish for a mac book, a celphone, a dslr camera.  There were many vacation places to wish for too but i wish they have riviera maya resorts in their list. For sure i would pick that place.  It does not matter if my other wishes will not come true as long as i can fly to Mexico. :)

Taking the Risk

The past days i came across a blog that was complaining about Xoom services.  When i read that i was scared because my only means of withdrawing my money from my paypal account.  I have an EON (Union Bank) account but since i lost more than $30.00 in failed transactions i tried to forget that i have an EON account.  I promised myself that i will never use that again for paypal purposes.  Since that blog post (i forgot which blog as i forgot to save the link) i also thought that what if xoom services have problems so what will happen?  So i withdraw 10 dollars using a another bank account for trial purposes.  Not EON now but my Banco de Oro card.  The transaction will take 5-7 days.  An email will be sent to me once transaction will be successful or the negative.    If this trial withdrawal will be successful then maybe will stop using Xoom services, not because  i am not satisfied with their services but because they have increased their fee, not good for this hard times.

If you are a Filipino blogger and blogging from the Philippines for sure you are familiar with EON. Many have many fortunate stories (i even read about them)  about their EON experiences and maybe am one of the few who have unfortunates. I thought of not telling this story here in my blog but now I feel it’s too much because I have experienced it again.

Yes, again!
