My good memories of father’s day goes back to high school and college days. I usually do the planning on what to make for my Father days before the third sunday of June. In high school, I think i drew and make a letter for him. In college, I can already afford to buy a nice greeting card because i took time to save some cash my mom or dad gives me for school and that only happen once in a blue moon. Then after college graduation, i still took time to send him greetings for several years until the time come when I only have to speak out to him directly my greetings when he is around. Meaning if he is not around, then i can’t tell him personally. I usually send my greetings through my mother if i had the chance to talk with her on the phone.
It’s been many years since the last time i gave him a greeting card. My father is not a showy of affection type and I really don’t think he appreciates stuff like that, but still, i made it a point to give him tokens to remind him that it was Father’s day and i was thankful he was dad or else i wonder what would i look like if he is not married to my mom.
Whether i like it or not, some of my facial features are from his genes.
Today, it’s another Father’s Day and i am not yet sure what particular thing i will get for him. But i will later in the morning after fetching Dimple from the Academy. For sure roses would be corny for him so maybe a pack of cigarette will do or maybe a his favorite kind of coffee! But those are bad stuff so maybe I will give something else.
If he is on Facebook, for sure he will be one of those i tag using the following LOs i made last week:
