This weekend is one of the unforgetable weekends when it comes to work.   We left the campus Friday morning at exactly 7:30 for Naawan Beach Resort, a merely 20 minute travel northward to Misamis Oriental.  The IFL seminar by Dr. Ian Abordo started at exactly 9:30 and it was very informative.  The two hours pass by so quickly that we have to stop for lunch.   At lunch time, i ate hurriedly because i was thinking i can get online only to discover that Globe signal is not full over there so i failed to read more on how to have quick weight loss diet . It’s different when you can read ideas from experts or even experienced people. Some said i should not read anymore about but i said, i wanna know more.

Saturday was  spiritually refreshing for all of us.  The Sabbath School program was very touching.  The AY was spent listening to a lecture on THE SEASONS OF LIFE by Dr. Araceli Rosario that ended up with a group activity wherein we have to answer 5 questions.  We enjoyed the sharing and our group presented last with a The Buzz style.  QA portion – Ma’am Ruby the interviewer and am the one being interviewed.  It was weird and funny but it was to break the one type of reporting and we discovered that it seems everyone was listening. :)

I have so much to share about the weekend.  And even though my camera was lost i was still able to make great sunset shots Friday afternoon because Lelan brought her camera.  Unfortunately, it didn’t last long because it seems the battery is defective, yet i had made pictures.  I also had some photos from other cameras.  The funny thing when i don’t have a camera is that whenever there are groups or friends taking pictures i also run to join. lol!  I saw a lot of many “picturable” and “bloggable” objects at Naawan Beach Resort this weekend.

Rates info of the beach will be posted here.

I am back! Sounds like i’ve been away for a week and was never infront of near a pc with internet connection. I was just so engrossed with other stuff especially personal ones that no words will come out of my head to share or describe what’s up over here.

The weekend was fine. Almost uneventful except that my father was admitted in the hospital for high blood late Friday night. So i spent the whole night there. Good thing the next day he was fine so i was able to leave for Cagayan de Oro City to see a friend. I had a good time there, going from one place to another (on foot) which made me a bit familiar of the places. I even accidentally bumped into someone whom i have known since high school. And to make the meeting more memorable, she gave a me a jar of chocolate jam! Thank you so much Jo for your sweetness. It’s great to see ya after all these years.

Sunday afternoon, I was suppose to come back but when I arrived at the terminal, it took sometime for the S5 bus to come. I was not a in a hurry so i did not mind taking the red bus. While waiting for the bus, the sun was still mellowing and i longed to see the sunset. I texted my friend to come and meet somewhere so we could go watch the sunset but he declined because he is still far from the coastal so for sure by the time we reached the sea side, the sun is totally out of the horizon. But before his text came in, I was already on the jeep on my way to Kit Kai for other matters. I ended up ending my transaction at 8:30 just on time for another text to arrive asking if am safely home. Oh well, i was not safely home as in my home but am nearer to another home.

I woke up earlier the next day to catch the 5:30 am bus so that i would not be late for work. I missed the bus at the junction so i took the next bus. I still arrived on time then.

Tuesday, i went to MMA, my alma mater to do some errand and some photos are posted here.

This is my second time to pass by the place but this is my first time to really come near the fountain. It was not a very sunny day that day so on the other side the sky was greyish white and i have to go around the fountain to catch the sky in the northern part.

Taken last Friday in Cagayan de Oro City.

More postcards!

All these are from Mommy Ebie!  Am so thankful to for sharing all these with me.  I have posted the same pics at my other blog and she commented that they are going back to Death Valley on April and she will send me more cards.  I so love the idea and am excited.

Good thing her daughter, Zeee got some off days from work so they could make long weekend trips to anywhere.  I love their mother-daughter bonding time.  Sounds expensive and tiring yet it’s a very memorable one.

I watched that movie this afternoon! I am suppose to go swimming with my family and relatives but i have a call for work in the dormitory so there’s nothing to do than watching movies. I got no books that i can read and the cross-stich material am doing is too fine for my eyes…so i just watch the movie. It’s a thrilling movie and i’d like to think am as brave as that woman in the story. :-)

I guess being healthy is very important if one is planning to go on traveling. And it is also a must that a person knows where he is going and what he can expect there. For those friends up there, if you plan to visit Asia or Southeast Asia or South America then take time to read this medical travel guide. I browse through it and i find it informative. I wish it has a guide for a visit to the Philippines. Am glad India is in the list because i have in mind to visit India this year. Check it if the country of your destination is in the list.

If there is one accessible place to have a therapy then i will pick MVC.  Been there this weekend to visit my daughter.  I joined some parents who went up there to visit their kids who attended the NMC-Wide Camporee.  When we arrived, it was very obvious that the kids enjoyed the week although we can’t help to notice that their color changed.  Maybe it was because of the very favorable weather.  They spent Friday in hiking the hills around the campus and all had tales to tell to their parents and worth keeping until they grow old.

The place is not a rehabilitation place for people with drug problems but i heard that there are some people who have emotional problems that gets well over there. Maybe it’s because of the solemn environment and very far from the city stresses. A friend even exclaimed that the place is a good place for a drug rehab. I have to give her the look that says “what? u think my school campus got drug addicts?” But in reality, i think so too. So if in the future, there would be buildings that will be sprouting in nearby hills like Kilangi area or even beyond the Mt. Nebo, then maybe they are drug rehab centers.  If that happens then for sure i would recommend the place to friends who have family members or friends who needs rehabilitation.

It’s my first time to visit the campus in the last 5 years that i really enjoyed going around.  Though i was mostly alone going around – yet i had all the time to stop to take photos and close my eyes to think of by gone days.  I stood at the spot where i answered my college sweetheart “yes”! and also remembered the spot where we saw the bird that just died days later under my care. lol!  It died of the cold you know.  It was really cold in that campus which we all love.  The air conditioners are all so natural that you need thick woolens to comfort you to sleep.

Anyway, tonight, it’s going to be my first time to interview my daughter of her unforgetable experiences over there.

I almost forgot when was the last time i made my last post.  My weekend was really occupied that i easily get tired so i failed to give an update.  My daughter and I and some friends made a lot of pictures of this weekend activity.

Yesterday, the AHPA delegates went around this city to see the wonder of nature in two well-known places in the Philippines if not the world.   First destination was the Agus 4 Hydro Electric Plant in Balo-i, Lanao del Norte.  From there, we proceed to Maria Christina Falls, the final outlet of the water that runs from the Lake Lanao through the turbines/tunnels that supplies electricity all over Mindanao and Siquijor.  Everyone had fun and i am sure when my cousin arrives he will enjoy the place as much as he enjoyed the florida vacations he took last month. He made that trip with friends and he will be home in PH for the Christmas season together with his family.  We just had a long weekend that feels like an unforgetable vacation.  In two  weeks, we will have again another long break for the Christmas vacation.  I hope everyone is looking forward to it.

There’s quite a number of pictures to be uploaded from the camera then to be resized so just let me share with a couple – just a teaser:

Am here waving my hand!

Id like to grab these few minutes to think and to write i am thinking.  :) I think my last post was of the other day.  I had a long day yesterday so there was no update.  Id just like to share what’s up since i moved to the dorm.

I had a fun time waking up at 5:30 after my alarm sounds.  Then i had to reach for the buzzer button to  give the first warning that our worship will be in   15 minutes.   I then get out of bed and do some stretching in the lobby and enjoy the cool breeze and the early morning view below.  The dorm lobby faces the front building of the hospital and beyond it is the highway.  I have a nice view of the sky from 4 angles (north, south, east, west) but haven’t took time to snap yet.  I was still adjusting to my schedule eh.

Gone are the days of waking up at 7 am or at times 7:30 am and try to move like a lighting to avoid tardiness. hahaha.  Gone are my late night TV viewing, too because i don’t have TV in the room.  Though there’s a tube in the worship hall yet, there are so many students watching it when the Dean allows.  Last night, they were sort of punished because the TV was left on for they dunno how many hours but the Dean caught it ON and no one’s viewing.  So she locked it and when they request for viewing they were disapproved.

There is a nightly checking of attendance in every room.  Take note, there are 10 rooms to check.  For the past two nights, we checked at 11 but last night we did it a bit earlier like 10:30.  It was more a relaxing one for me as i was beginning to get the hang of the routine and also am starting to memorize some names and faces.  It was relaxing yet i was tired. I had really a long day.  I arrived in the dorm at 8:30 in the evening already.   Good thing the elevator was still working so i used the lift instead of the stairs.

Early checking means earlier time to bed too.  I had a dreamless sleep last night and hearing the alarm sounds at 5:30 does not feel like a chore anymore.

Tomorrow, the sky photos i will be sharing will be ones taken from the dormitory floor (4th floor) of the building.

For now let me share some old photos taken June this year. :)

- Do we look excited? -

All are excited to go into water but each one got different facial expression to show off their excitement. All of us enjoyed the 3 hrs ride down the river and one of the unforgetable rapids is called 4396508 or whirlpool one.  It really felt like we were inside a washing machine.   Though i was scared everytime we hit a rapids but still i want to go back if i have the chance.

According to friends who has been to Dubai,  Dubai is a great place visit and that can be proved by many the large number of visitors flying into the city through.   My sister even had a chance  of  Dubai stopover one time when she flies from Saudi Arabia to Manila.    With the upcoming big Rugby event then for sure the number will become triple.  With that coming up, I am looking forward to make that trip. If not Dubai then maybe i will make it to Abu Dhabi.  There would be no hotel booking problems as they are available online.  This site will lead me to the best deal for luxury hotels all over UAE.

If you decide to visit Dubai on your next travel be sure to visit the Jumeirah Mosque.  There are many attractions in this city and the mosque is one place not to miss aside from the long stretch of beaches that is a great place for rest and relaxation.  In travel infos, Jumeirah is considered to be an elite place in the whole of Dubai as it is in this place where many luxury hotels are located and also some of the biggest malls in the Kingdom.  The mosque is open to Muslim but non-Muslim are also welcome on special tour packages.

How to reach this rich country?  Call your travel agent to contact the Eithad airlines as Eithad flies into Dubai and Abu Dhabi several times a week from Manila. Etihad Airways is one of the best fleets that flies to Dubai and other Arabian Cities.   There are even last minute discount deals.  So grab the chance!
