Weekly Round-up & WS

May 11-16

I thought i can make a leave last Thursday to join the photo shooting my friends did at Naawan. But i missed it because my boss told me there will be an Ad council meeting Thursday but discovered then that meeting can’t push through because of the ISO inspection in the hospital. It was already past 9 am when i knew that there will be no meeting.

I had so much paper works this week but was sort of light when Friday came because i was the only left at work. It was so quiet. Not much transaction was going on so i have to lock the door everytime i have to go to the comfort room to pee. I was trying to make sure i drink at least 8 glasses of water each day and also going to bed at least before 11 in the evening. A friend is laughing at me for the change. But am serious so just to avoid taking weight loss pills like what my friends are taking. well, they are not overweight. They just want to let few pounds go away so they are doing it with pills.

AT the end of last month, i cannot remember i had my period.  I blame it on my stress because everytime i am am so overwhelmed with stress, it disrupts my normal cycle.  Luckily the other day it arrived when i was almost to decide am going to see a Gyne or a check-up. So i woke up wiht a very bad headache this morning even then i decided to attend church and i was able to witness a baptism of 6 precious souls.

It rained some days this week and Thursday night i cooked some miswa soup with vegemeat balls using soybean pulp.

Our cat’s kitties one by one came out to civilization.  They were born up in the ceiling and the first one to come out is a very black one that i fondly call the kitty “Abat” (witch) lol!   It can’t be seen at night.  Promise. hehehe Then days later, another came down and Friday they were completely together.  Poor them because their mom don’t have enough milk anymore so as of now they eat rice.  So we have to move them out of our backdoor area for hygienic reasons. :D

p1010084

p1010263

Now I really dunno if they gonna stay with us forever.  They are just too many for our care so maybe they will be exiled in a far away place unless someone will ask them for a pet.   The two did not bath ever yet but the black — had its first bath this afternoon because her eyes were covered with muta.  I plan that tomorrow she will be bathed again.

Yen is stil on vacation so maybe she will make her wklyround-up later.  But check out her blog for new updates.

Weekly Round-up & Mother’s Day

Last week was a fine week for working.  Worked 8 hours and a bit more on all 5 days.  The last 2 days, i was often out of the office because i assited the HR secretary and my bosses at the AVR during their strategic planning meeting.

Saturday, i came ontime for the church service in the morning because i was one of the mothers to participate in their special feature.  They interviewed mothers.  There were 3 of us –but i guess am the unique one because am a single mom.  Hehehehe am sort of  feeling produ of it because mom in my status is not very common in our vicinity.    We answered the following questions:

1.  How will you define motherhood?

2.  What was your most challenging experience as a mother?

3.  How about your most memorable or satisfying experience?

4.  Your last words to the mothers and mothers-to-be.

I was teary eyed especially when answering #3 though i was already chocking my answer in number 1.  Each mother s at church that morning were honored with a very beautiful rose and a ceramic decorative as a token.

Sunday, i spent most of the day at work and when i arrived home my toddle nephew was around.  I woke him up and i danced in that little space in my bedroom and he was lulled to sleep.  My sis then commented that i should always dance like that so that i would lose weight..i said i can dance daily every hour if the baby is home but if no baby i think i will gonna be like crazy.   I read earlier about a diet pill reviews and they feature the top bought pills nowadays.  I am still thinking if i would order one to be coupled with my exercise.  :)

Weekly Round-up & WS

As usual was at work everyday the whole week except Friday.  I think i missed the Thursday morning devotional.  It was some kind of a busy week.  Tuesday, the College Board Meeting was held at the accreditation room so i failed to help the people at the kitchen preparing for the food.  The front desk just can’t be left without anyone there.

Friday, May 1, 2009 was a non-working holiday.  Unfortunately, there was no electric power beginning 8 am that day.  I slept at 5 am already because of the no-work Friday so when i woke up there was no more electric power.  I asked dimple if she likes us to go to the beach or maybe we will go to the pool.  But since the bridge bombing, the original route is not yet back.

A girlfriend texted me that we meet up in the city to catch and at the same time i will hand her some documents, so i agreed.  I tag Dimple along because i know that in the mall it would be cooler.   I was right it was really cool out there.  We spent more than 4 hours just roaming around the mall.  What often interest me when am at the mall are digital cameras — are they one sale or how much they cost and the brand.  Below are some photos of the cameras i saw:

YOu can pick the one that you like best. ok?

Saturday i met up with a highschool classmate at the hospital Annex 207.  Her darling youngest baby was sick.   Came home almost 9 in the evening.  It feels nice to catch up with friends once in awhile.

That morning, Dimple did this:

020520092123

She put on the shoelace in her running shoes and also fitted on my size 7 heels given by my aunt in 2006.  But since it does not fit me anymore i gave it to her for future use.  But i guess future can’t wait.  She will wear it maybe anytime soon.   Oh no, my little baby can now wear a 3 inches heels? :( am sad and happy at the same time.  How time flies!

Today, Sunday, i was at work because there was a class for the doctoral class.  Today was a big day for majority of Filipinos who witnessed the Pacman-Hitman fight in Las Vegas.  To make the story short, Pacman won not long after it started.  I have not watched the show but the shouts and glee of the people in the 4th floor meant that Pacman won.

I decided to check out this golf training aids because the Goma cup i saw on TV last night was very interesting.   Maybe if Manny P will retire from boxing, he can consider golf.

Yen made a WR entry this week.

Weekly Round-up

April 19 – 25

I had a usual week — all work!   The highlight was I missed only 2 devotional mornings.  And the birthday of the boss on the 22nd which find me very busy.  Though we only prepared food for a heavy snack yet the work was heavy.  :)

p1010002

I am not so emotionally feeling good the whole week.  Myeyes and heart cried often left  me sleepless- as i become so worried about the future in my work and the future of my daughter and my future as well.  I was not thinking of regrets but i was more thinking of what i should do yet there are choices but sort of am in  a situation that i have no choice.  At some points i can’t help to think of the what if’s but the feeling of “i can make it no matter what” is really strong so after crying, i have a good sleep.

Friday was a quick day.  I went to my pedicurista before 4 yet she got 4 customers in line so i have to come back for her services. I ended up coming home past 7 in the evening.  So late but my foot feels so good.  I haven’t done any pedi for more than a month.  So i sacrifice 2 kilos of rice for my family for a pedi or else i will end up having a minor fix at the ER. right?  So thinking of that — it makes me feel less guilty. lol!  I was still able to watch Betty La Fea.  After a very dramatic season, the ending was not dramatic anymore.  Good thing they show to the public the behind the scenes moments so i ended up laughing while doing also plurking.

Today was a usual Saturday.  Was at church in the morning (the weather was awful hot) that the 4 huge aircons inside the church was not enough.   Afternoon was spent in sleeping.  It feels great.  It’s been quite sometime i haven’t done sleeping straight.

I did not come online the whole day.  I even have to disconnect the modem from the pc so that my daughter cannot use the pc.  I have to do that just to cut up our electricity as i have a freaking more than  a thousand electric bill this month.   So that’s one way to save.  Right?

Tomorrow — 6 am appointment at the children’s park for the marathon events and i think i will report to work after that.

This is all for now and i hope everyone is enjoying their week-end!  Til tomorrow, guys!  Dimple is now asking me for her 1 hour here.  So am off to go.

Check out Yen’s blog, she might have her weekly round-up posted.

Weekly Round-up & Iligan City Bombing

My Monday started reporting directly to my former office but since i still did not have much to do, I asked permission from my boss to go back to the registrar to help in the enrolment but if he is done with his draft for a lecture presentation then he should call on me so that i can do it right away.

From Tuesday to Friday i did not report back to the RO because i have some important things to do before my boss leaves for a trip to Bukidnon.  When my  boss left for Cagayan de Oro that Wednesday morning i have not seen him again.  So what did to keep me occupied at my current office, i carried with me some work that i can do.  I sort alphabetically some more than a thousand enrolment form of  year to third year level students.   I just finished today the Level 2 and tomorrow am going to start the Level 3.

This week-end there was a very very big event held at the campus of Mountain View College in Valencia City that made the campus sort of deserted Thursday.  When Friday came, the more it became so quiet.  I decided not to go because I did not have an exact place for accommodation nor i have any tent to put up anywhere in the campus.  The expected people to be around in the campus that week-end will go up to more than a hundred thousand so i lost the “feel” of really trying my best to make it there.

Friday afternoon i arrived home early so i took time to sort some stuff inside some of the luggage on top of my closet.  The found some of the clothes i carried from China and gave it to Dimple.  After 3 years, this top looks good on her. :)   This top is backless.  Only piece of thin rings hold this top to the body. :)

p10100891

I spent a quiet week-end at home.  The weather was nice because it rained puppies and kittens.   Saturday no electricity for almost whole day good thing it rained.  Sunday i was the usual nanny because sis came with baby Gab.

I looked like this when i do the nannying job. :)

On the other hand, i only knew it this afternoon that one main bridges of the city was bombed down that caused many passengers to be stranded.  The place is now crossably by foot but not by vehicle yet.  Who did it? I think all there is no exact answer it.  All are still speculations as of the moment.  But local inhabitants think that there’s only one who can do stuff like this — the MIs.

Weekly Round-up & WS

I had a very busy week when it should be a week of relaxing, movie marathon or maybe a quick travel to anywhere nearby but now it was not.  It was enrollment time beginning March 31 so when Monday came, April 6 (a holiday) the people at the Registrar still worked the non working holiday hours.  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — we worked and worked and worked.  Aside from the enrollment it was also the time to prepare the papers for the new graduates who will be taking the June Nursing Licensure Examination.  So that NLE stuff did what caused us to work during the holidays.

Thursday, we had our lunch at work.  We cooked rice and luckily the VPAA donated 1 roasted chicken, then Ma’am M just added some more pesos to the money so that we can buy 2.    Our food that day together with the rice were — roasted chicken, adobong string beans, diced cucumber (fresh), pine apple tidbits (yummy sweet), and ohhh ice cream!   Wish i can show the pics but i can’t find it now.   And another one — we had binignit or ginataan in Tagalog.  I dunno what’s that called in English but it’s a like a pooridge of  sweet stuff.  I let mom cooked it from home and just send us some at the Registrar’s office. It arrived timely right after we have eaten lunch.

Friday, we call it really a day and we agreed not to work anymore.  I only spent the time at home watching TV though i was wishing i could go somewhere.  My aunt cooked ginataan again because it’s holy Friday.  I dunno where did Filipinos got the notion that we should be eating binignit or ginataan during the holy week.  And because of the tradition, prices of ginataan sticky rice, sugar, coconut, and other ginataan ingredient shoot up.

p1010107

That, my aunt cooked, so much enough for three households.   We had this as our snacks on Friday afternoon and since we have much left, i was still able to eat some at Saturday breakfast.

That Friday too, i told the kids here that we can play with this make-up thing and it resulted to these photos:

p1010089 p1010084 p1010091

See my girl at work:

p1010069

And tada, here they are, both beautiful:

p1010090

Am sure my brother will kill me if he sees this photo but i don’t care.  My nephew is just too ready to do stuff like this. lol!  Actually all that we had here were: lipstick and eye shadows, and eye liners and that’s all we can know how to use.  Wish we have the make up thing and if we do have it still we dunno exactly how to use them.

Saturday, in the afternoon, after watching the holy Saturday movie, i have to hurry to the city to do an errand for my sis.  I also picked my Payu2B pay and i treated Dimple for a pizza.

p1010025

I told her that we have to eat all that up and she almost surrendered after 2 slices of that.   We had ice cream in a cone too because it was a very hot day:

p1010018

She ate her ice cream quicker than the pizza…me too because we had a very hot weather yesterday.

When we got back home, i was turned on to take photos of “whatsoever” and i discovered that my hands were too shaky to take macro shots, so she volunteered and she ended up shooting so many plants and flowers and yeah whatsoever stuff too that last night i started a photoblog just for her shots.  Am loving macro shots specially using the N73 but with the Olympus i am having a hard time.

Now am at the end of my post and am going to share with you some of the shots i made this week that i call “favorite and best”

Being a Nanny & Wkly Round-up

p1010065

This is my sister feeling so mommy in this photo.  This is just one of the many pics we took yesterday.

I was getting ready for church when my sis called that they she and her baby are coming for a visit. She meant for me to be at home when they arrived so my church plans were canceled.  So that is my sis and her few-days off to be 1 month old baby Gab.  I ended being a nanny from 10 am until almost 7 pm. It was like a full time nanny coz my sis had the chance to get online to check her mails and roam around the friendster world. :)

Weekly Round-up

Sunday was full of activities.  It was the graduation day at my daughter’s school and i have to be there though she is not graduating because it was also the awarding ceremony.  I was one proud mommy that moment as she got 2 silver medals.  I feel she is a bit disappointed of one of the medals but she promised me that next year she hopes to have more medals and hopefully golds. :D   I am glad she realized that she was laxed in her studies.

290320091830After Sunday, I was looking forward to Monday because of the enrolment.  All was just easy not until Thursday when it was time to enroll the third year level and the second year.   I feel so proud feeling i the hang of working front line in an office in charge for enrollment.  I will forever remember this experience because i think it might be my only experience serving the students during enrolment time.  Last Thursday i discovered or was told that i will be moved back to the office where i came from because am still needed in that office.  Actually when i left, they never put a permanent replacement in there so for the past 2 months there were times when i have to work matters for the old office at the same time performing task for my current one.

Oh well, i feel some of my workmates are not yet used to my current post then soon they gonna find me sitting back at my desk at the Admin Office so i would understand their confused stare. lol

I feel it was a quick week for me…and am so thankful to God for so many blessings.

I hope everyone had  fabulous week!

Weekly Round-up

March 15 – 22

Sunday – I spent the day in Tubod, Lanao del Norte together with tthe medical group from Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital for a medical mission that served more than a thousand patients who were given free medical care in form of minor operation (circumcision & cyst), tooth extraction, pedia consultation, adult consultation.  It was my first time to join a group like that and though it was tiring, i had fun. It’s an unforgetable experience.

Monday – I was late for more than an hour because i went to HMDF (Pag-ibig) to submit my short loan application.  Granted right away and was asked to come back the next day.

At work?  Not so loaded.  The data base was not yet fixed.

Tuesday – I was early to work but in the afternoon i missed it because i went back to HMDF around lunchtime but forgot to carry the claim stub.  I guess i was very excited to get the check.  After receiving the check, i went straight to Dimple’s school to pay my balance and in a minute, my debt is paid.  In the evening, we attended a birthday party at a nearby barangay (double ride from our place) then came back earlier than usual because the celebrant got sick and we brought her in to the hospital for admission.  Poor girl.  (She’s my daughter’s classmate.

Wednesday – I was earlier than usual so i was able to catch up the devotional in the Library.  So i did not miss some announcments like our school declared March 30 as college holiday so that we can have a one day break.  Thanks to the Admin for allowing that.

Thursday – the database was fixed but my afternoon was highlighted by  the Seniors closing exercises program practice.  We spent more than 2 hours at the MPH so when my boss and i went back to the office, we were really tired.  Luckily there was already a sweet potato que waiting for snacks.  I then left the office exactly time to leave because Dimple and I went to the city to buy the cloth for their Junior class uniform during the closing exercises.

Around past 8, me, my mom, and my daughter, and neice went to visit my sister.

Friday – it was another  busy day.  Practice again for the graduating class.    After work, i proceed home then pick Dimple and off we went to the tailor to check if the cloth is enough for the style she wanted.  Then off we went to the market to buy some vegetables and rice.

Friday evening, i had a very bad toothache.   Really bad that i was moody.   Slept late because of the toothache.

Saturday - woke up late.  Had breakfast and went back to sleep.  Stayed home all day.   A friend texted me an invitation to go for a photoshoot Sunday but i did not accept because i do not have a camera.

Sunday – woke late because i slept late last night.  Slept late due to bllogging at the same time toothache again.  Grrrr it was really that bad.  Tomorrow i should have this check by the dentist.

5 pm today i went to school for a continuation of social activities for the Hugyawan 2009.  We had Mind Games and our group won the first place for the Play for Fun.   When the points where gathered for the 3 games: spelling bee, quiz bee, and the play for fun – we came out second place.  It was ok.  Everyone had fun!

Check out Yen’s blog for her weekly round-up.

Weekly Round-up

February 16 – 22

My week started MCing a graduation program of the Health care Services Training. After a relaxing week-end, i started the new week with vigor and interest.

This week is suppose to be a busy week enrolling HCST but there were only few who came.

The other days of the week passed by as usual. In some afternoons we had our cheering practice. Thankfully the schedule was moved to next week-end or else yesterday night we would be have doing our yells competition.

Friday i went out to the city to have a pedicure service and did some grocery.    The wished footwear was blocked out of mind because of other important priorities.

Saturday it was a bonding time for me and Dimple. Since she was late for church i stopped her from going late because i was getting paranoid thinking that maybe some bad guys are down ahead the road and will snatch her. I have that feeling these days that some bad persons will snatch kids and raped them. I knew that there are addicts around.

Sunday, another relaxing day at home.   Dimple and i and the cousin (my neice) watched Mr. Bean’s Holiday before they slept.  Since i knew that we have no work today (EDSA anniversary) i slept so late.  Around 2:30 am i guess.  I did not finish a 900 EC drops for the 3 blogs because while EC dropping i was also watching Raising Helen, the sunday big event film in ABS-CBN.   I think i only made a total of 400+ for the 3 blogs.

Today morning, i thought i would wake up early but since i slept morning time already i woke up past 8.  Around 10 am, i went with my sister to the doctor for a pre-natal check-up.  She will be due next week.   And it’s going to be CS. :(     There’s a high risk of danger if we will force it to come out normal.

Photobucket
–dimple wore this to school this week. — :-)

See it’s just a normal week.  Not a busy busy week. :)

This is Yen’s meme and am glad she made an entry today.

Weekly Roundup

February  1-7

Last week was my first week at a new department – Registrar’s Office.  Monday afternoon, we had a short meeting for segregation of work. The whole week was not really a busy week for a newbie because the rigid training did not start yet though i can now do the checking of grades, checking of teachers schedule, and printing.  So that i don’t confused or forgot the steps, i have a small pad for my notes.

Thursday, I made a quick trip to Cagayan de Oro with my daugter.  It was a late afternoon trip so i was already sure that we won’t be able to roam the whole mall. Oh well, i just like to call it — “we had dinner in Cagayan de Oro. “  I guess my Thursdays are travel days because Thursday the other day i also made a quick trip to Manticao to see a friend.  It was a trip with Dimple, one of her classmates, and her teacher.  We arrived back home really later much later than we arrived from Cagayan.

Wednesday, the weather was bad.  I thought Thursday would be the same but it turned out to be fine day. Nice time to travel.  Friday? It started fine but in the afternoon oh my — it was flooded in most places here in our city.  So the flooded front yard made me stay at home the whole day Saturday.

Sunday i was suppose to go to the old office, but laziness caught up with me so i also stayed home.

Thank God it’s Monday so am out of the house, for a change. hehehe
