New Semester Has Just Began

We had a long weekend lately so the second semester for MSH College oficially started last Tuesday.  Though the enrollment is still going on yet the classes has already began.  There were major moves of departments so construction in some part of the campus is going on.

Not far from the campus, there is one residential area that is working on garage flooring renovation. The materials used gave some workers idea that maybe they too will have a garage face-lift when their finances allow them. Good thing for me, i don’t have a garage so i don’t have to worry about that.

I wish this school a happy and productive second semester. If the number of enrolled students are not as much as 3 years ago, well, i just knew that this school is going to survive. This is God’s school ya know.

Blog Contest by MBS 3 Organizers

The MBS 3 organizers, no other than the CDO Bloggers launches a blog contest.  One has to blog about their experience during the summit held couple of weeks ago in Cagayan de Oro City.  I got the info through my email and just forgot about it.  Good thing i cleaned up my mailbox and come across the email again.  I still have second thoughts of joining because i don’t write well. But after awhile, i decided to join and here’s my entry -

This photo brings a smile to my face.  My morning starts so great.  It’s Teacher’s Day so their was a short program dedicated for the dear teacher of this college.  And another surprise was – after the program there was  a light snacks served at the accreditation room.  wowww in my office!  So i had a free breakfast.  I feel so good.

Next thing was when the student came to collect the exercise program data.  I had it complete with PR.  I was also suppose to complete it with BP data but  i just forgot all about it.  They texted me the PR was the important thing.  Last week i thought of trying one of the fat burner pills sample a friend gave me but i told her am on a program which ended today. So when they checked my weight. Guess what? I lost 9 pounds. In 3 weeks! Ain’t that grand!  I’d better stick to the program even though the data has been collected.  Who knows i will lost another 9 or 10 in the next 3 weeks.

LATSF & A Blah

Am disappointed. Really disappointed that i could cry if i talk about it. Am just human so it is natural for me to feel that especially after being so excited the past couple of days. Last night, i thought about it hard on why i can’t go – is it my fault that am not yet regular at work or is it my fault why am still poor that i don’t have tons of money stashed away in the bank? Or maybe am just not really a risk taker after so many disappointments in life, so many hardships, so many falls – am trying to live as uncomplicated as it can be.

Am not yet over with my self-pity and i hate it.  I’ve already been to Bangkok the years back but i know that this trip would be a different experience as it will be a travel with friends.   And if that previous trip sucks i know that this time it will be an exciting experience.  I felt so stupid when i think back i made plans with some friends.  Arggghhh it really hurts.  Huhuhuhu.  Good thing that earlier i was able to check some skies from all over the world then my sad mood lifted up a bit but when am way from the computer i then remember that am sad and i feel poor and left out.  I know i should not feel this way but the wound is still very fresh.

I really don’t believe on being jinx though i have heard that it’s real but now i really feel like am jinx.

The sky is partly darkened with storm clouds and the front still looks ok. I feel so much like that. I don’t look devastated but there’s a dark cloud hovering over me and my heart is raining.

Birthday Wishes

My birthday will in 3 weeks and i have a few things in my wish list.  I am not sure if they gonna come true or not but at least i wished for them.   Aside from a new digital camera probably Canon IXUS, a trip to HongKong or Malaysia will do.  If a man in shining armour will also come my way with a free ticket for two for one of the best European cruises in the whole world — then i would also come along!  There are not much free things in this world so if a free something nice will come – why not grab it! Right?

Online Schools

March just came by and March in many parts of the world means graduation day.    But it is quite sad to note that not all high school graduates can enter college for financial reasons and maybe for some they just lack the drive to pursue a college education.   Some preferred that it is better they start looking for a job after graduation to earn and then to save so that 2 or 3 y4ears later they can enroll for a college education.  Some take night schools and there some fortunate ones grab the chance of studying in an online college because of time management.  Others really chose the typical way of going to school — stop work and attend classes daily.  Others do part time, work on free hours and study on class hours.

A business graduate in the Philippines turned SAHM in America told me one time that she started to get bored at home while taking care of her son.  So she thought of going back to school when the child starts schooling a year from now.   Then i told her about online schooling.  Though she is a bit negative about it since she want a new environment, yet she asked me how much is online schooling.  Then we discovered that online degrees are cheaper than taking courses from regular schools.   Now i also get interested of this online schooling.  I will try to check out later if i can study online for a Masters Degree.

Blog to World; Blog For You & Me

My post’s title is the theme of the writing competition that is on going  now at Lainy’s blog to mark her blogging anniversary.

Now all i have to do to be able to qualify to this hot blogsary celebration is – i have to write about my blogging journey.  I had the whole day to think of how should i start or where should is start.  So, let me start.

I started blogging, actually journaling online in September 14, 2006 in my friendster account.  I got interested to start that because i’ve already been reading many other blogs, especially of Mitch, but i can’t bring myself to start one, not until someone urged me to do so when he read my posts in my friendster account.   With the encouragement, of Rhoen, amd with the inspiration of Mitch, i started making a blog for Dimple which i later deleted because i integrated my posts with my main personal blog.  I would say personal because it is a free wp hosted blog and money making is not allowed there.   Earning is not my aim when i first started blogging.  I find my blog as an outlet of what i think on anything and what i would like to share.  With my first personal blog, i began to blog hop through Mitches visitors and that was almost the time too i joined a Filipina mommy community

From that point of blogging, i then started my photoblog in May 2007.  I was getting the hang of blogging and am enjoying it very much.  I then started to meet bloggers  who earn while blogging.  I then thought maybe i should try.  I did not wish to earn much money, i just want to prove that is it really true to earn dollars by blogging – so my blogspot blog was born.  In 4 months time, i already got 4 blogs to maintain.  Meaning, i got hooked! lol!

It is almost 2 years now that i have been blogging, and i can say i enjoyed every minute of it.  Talking of perks i got in blogging aside from oppsss – there are lots but i would just like to mention some major ones as they help me spice up my blogging life.

1.  I met a lot of online friendship that continue even offline.  Special and huge thanks to Kerslyn for helping me me realized my first personal domain and later free hosted another personal domain for me.

2.  Another huge thanks to Mommy Ruby for being an angel by making my freehosted blogspot blog into a domain one.  And then later she offered very affordable hosting so she enabled me to wp hosted my blogspot blog.

3.  I feel i have developed blogger friendship throughout these years and they are many to mention yet i have them each one in my mind and heart – they inspired me to continue blogging as i got ideas on what to blog about, they let me learn blogging etiquettes (if there are some) lol and they help my blogs in one way or another get famous in the blogosphere. (yeah am famous) lol!

4.  Mitch played a big role in my blogging life.  I dunno if she believes me when i say that but really through her personal blog, i was inspired to start my own.  She introduced me to Pinoy Moms Network where i met a lot of great moms and also to Paraiso Philippines where i won my first $50.00 cold cash by just posting endlessly (non-stop) for 8 long hours.

5.  Through blogging, i got active in the forum site of  Paraiso Philippines, a travel information site, that made me able to attend the 2nd Mindanao Blogger Summit in General Santos City in October last year by sponsoring all my expenses.  That event made me met the author of this competition in personal.  Actually i only met her there and we talked a lot during the night of the Tuna Cocktail party.  That time she informed me of her on going contest of which i become one of the winners later.

6.  Rhoen, another longtime friend, is the one who gave me the strong push to start blogging.   Or else i won’t be blessed by what i enumerated above.

Now, let me congratulate the active blogger girl in the person of Lainy.  I wish her more success in blogging and real life.  Personally i also have to thank blogging or else i will never have the chance to take these photos with her:

The Package

This is what i got in the mail today. The first call i got at the office this morning was the most awaited one for this particular day. Do you wanna know why? It’s because the contents of this small parcel envelope are these:

A new pc of L1-10B Li-ion battery and a charger. This is for my Olympus point and shoot camera that has been kept aside since middle of last year because the charger stopped working.  I thouht i have to send back the camera to the states but thanks to Mommy Ebie and her daughter Z for their thoughtfulness i can now use my dgcamera.   Tight hugs to both of you and am sure you know how much i appreciate this and how very happy i am.

I have prayed for this package to arrive safely because i lost a package that was sent to me last December from Canada.   Thank God, it arrived safely.

On My Wish List

I saw this last Sunday while malling. And it’s on the top of my wish list now. And it’s a wish that i wanna happen very soon so that i can use it to church. hehehe It looks nice on my feet. Promise! Do you like the style? It’s not very expensive. It’s only P380.00. Do you like to buy one? OH well…i wish a wish…

It’s week-end once again. This afternoon we are going to have an in-service meeting. And for the early birds, something nice again.

Another thing to check out is this, a tankless hot water heater system. I’ve seen one like this and this is even the type of  water heater i had in my second home in China.   The difference is just the style, the one am showing here is more sophisticated.   For wintry places, this is a necessity bathroom accessories.

Friday Grab

It’s like am upset on something but i don’t like to dwell on it so let me blog. Here’s sth i grabbed from Yen.

1. What is the first thing you did this morning?
– Reheat the soup i made last night.

2. How many pictures do you have on the wall in the room you are in right now?
– unfortunately in this room where i am now, there’s no hanging on the wall.  but inside the rooms, each has one or two.

3. If you could go to your favorite store and buy 1 item, regardless of cost, what would it be and why? Nothing that is a necessity!! — a fat burner Leptovox because i need to lose weight.
