You can find that art up in the highlands of Bukidnon. The overview is one of the tourist attraction for travellers passing that way either going to Bukidnon or to Davao. The first time i set foot at the over view was in 1990 during our highschool excursion. Those images were not yet there. And 18 years later, the shed is still intact with many interesting images guarding the place.

The image depicted a native of Bukidnon but i don’t think that real natives have crooked faces. My daughter enjoyed the short time we spent there and she was so noisy but i kept reminding her to be quiet as a respect for maybe unseen guards of the place. Strangers still must observe the custom and traditions of a particular culture.

Last night, before hitting my laundy that i finished at past 12 midnight, i ordered 1 kit at 1 dollar. It was a good buy and with it i also grabbed 12 freebies. They are all from Digital Arts Cafe at http://www.digitalarts-cafe.com/boutique/. So now am taking time to DL them all before it expires on the 1st of December. Actually i got a lot of LOuting to do because of the Scrap contest i joined at Kuro. You have to have at least 20 entries to really qualify and as of yesterday I have submitted only a handful of 15 entries. So i hope that with these downloads, i can make twenty or more LOs in two weeks time. whoaaahhh! really? hahahaha No I still need to DL more kits because quick pages are not allowed in the contest. TEmplates even are not allowed too!

Oppss am going to the post office later to pick up something. Got a package daw.

New Letterhead Design

In the coming days we would have a bit of a new look in our current letterhead. Though the logo is still to undergo major editing there’s already a big change. Am not the very good in editing designs and even making one, so I will have this done by one of our IT genius in the campus. Actually it is not just the letterhead but also the signage at the front of the hospital. It will have a new look. I think they can get good tips and ideas from digital signage if they are going to check it out. One of my IT friends said that nowadays we are living in a digital era so we have to adopt to change. Throw aside the old ways as many would say. So let be! Young people at young age are on for this but at times for oldies who has never touched a mouse ever would just frown and say it’s not bad thing to learn something new again.

1. What measures have you taken to cut back expenses?
We ate yellow corn rice instead or rice grain. We buy only fish and vegetables. We buy chicken or beef on special occasions only. No more eating outs bt if there’s really extra, i make sure Dimple can have a bite of something nice with me in the city. Walked to work and back instead of riding a tri-sikad.

2. Have you ever bought a book and used the receipt as a bookmark?
Yeah but not for long. Just for the time after buying the book and i go on my trip, so i have to use the receipt as a bookmark.

3. Can you recall any traumatic, embarrassing or troubling events as a child that
you still remember vividly? If so, care to share? Of course and it’s sad. I think i was 6 years old. My mom and father had a fight. it was really public coz they landed outside the house. My mom threw mud at my decently dressed father then i dunno what he did that i saw my mom on knees on the canal mud. And i can vividly remember screaming: “tabang! tabang” (help help) to neighbors so that maybe anyone can let them break them apart. I was scared that my mom will die that moment. That was not the first that they really fought hard and loud, but i promised myself that if they gonna separated ways, am not going with either of them and over my dead body will not let my siblings or any of us go with our father. (i really don’t like to remember this incident but it’s always inside my brain)

4. What is the strangest question you have ever been asked at a job interview?
You had a baby and what are you going to do with it? (this was asked when i had an interview at one of the hospitals in Manila. It made me then conclude that what is your past in one hospital and go apply in a sister hospital or institution, one can never have a fresh start. past wil still follow me. )

5. Does it make you uncomfortable if a woman is breastfeeding her baby in public? No.

6. Do you know anyone who has an unpredictable temper? Who? No.

7. What did you have to learn “the hard way”? Many to mention.

8. Have you ever been dishonest about the origin of a bruise? No.

9. Have you ever gotten any kind of envelope in the mail without the senders return address? Did you found out who it was from? Yes and i found it out right away after the third enveloped. He was a stalker but a handsome one. hahaha

10. It’s our 40th QOTW. I am giving away something. Can you tell me why should I give it to you? It’s just a little something to spice up this little Meme! Hmmm because we are friends and i think i posted the worst experience for an answer in question # 3. huhuhuhu.

I went to cdo for an official errand. We left mid morning already so we reached our destination almost noontime. OUr first stop was at Capitol University to submit the enrolment forms of doctoral students. The good thing was, the Graduate School has moved to it’s new location - the 5th floor of their newest building. I started from the groundfloor poised but when i reached half way more to the 5th floor i was already wapoised. hahahaha. We finished our transaction there almost 12 noon because we waited for the Dean to come back.

We had lunch at Jo’s Inato and the food bring me back memories of Bacolod City because it’s there where i experienced my first Buko Halohalo. After lunch we went to NMC and since the offices were still close we proceed to the place where Sir Pacardo has to purchase a machine pump for the Hemo department. To find the place took us some time because it was located inside the Grand Europa, just a stone away from the airport.

I took some photos along the way but it will be uploaded tomorrow yet. From the Frontiera Subd. we went to SPUC as majority of us got a transaction there. We left the compound almost 4 pm. We still drop by several places and the last stop was at Macro as i was hoping we can purchase a ready-to-install blinds but they have no stock at the moment.

ON our way to Iligan, it took us earlier than the usual private vehicle speed because we were tailing a Congressman’s vehicle (a Hilux) with a police bodyguard ahead. I think we were running a 100-120. Rain caught us before we reached the vicinity of the Iligan but it was not a big pour bt can still wet enough the road and anyone who does not have an umbrella.

We arrived the school campus a lil bit past six with a moderate pour though.

Tuesday Toot {nov 18}

I will just be sharing one. It’s an experience that unconsciously been looking forward to because it is a situation that i thought will not happen normally.

It is about someone who was once close to my heart. For now, we are not that close anymore (since 1987) but he always have that spot in my heart. It’s quite hard to imagine that for sometime you are close, then one day, you just go on different ways. He left me broken hearted in 1987 then smiled again in 1994. After that shared smile in October 1994, i thought we could be normally friends but no it did not happen that way til our paths cross again last Monday (nov 17 2008).
