My day started at 5 am yesterday because that was the time that we should be at the basketball court of the College.   Since it was a rainy the night before, not all made it before 5 am.  However, we were able to begin our worship a lil bit short of 6 am.

Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital and also the College family celebrated the Thanksgiving Month month with the theme: Tremendous Blessings Through God’s Blessings.   We had the opening ceremony last November 9th and yesterday 16th  it was slated for the parlor games.  After the parlor games, ballgames were played until the late evening.  We were so thankful that the weather cooperated so well because the past week, games were not played due to the rain every afternoon.

The games were played by groups.  There were 4 groups, Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Green.  I belong to the Orange group which is group 1.  Their were 4 sets of parlor games: Flag raising, Ball Relay, Bike marathon, Kadang, Carribean, then the Palo Sebo.  I think our group finished 3rd.

To continue telling the story, here are the pictures -

- after the GO, our flag bearer ran for the pole! -

- that’s the pole for the “PALO SEBO”  The pole’s body is painted with oil and it is up to the player on how to reach the prize.  There were 3 players who played this. -

- one of my companions in the BALL relay practicing and at the same time being instructed by the Parlor Games coordinator. -

- and the kadang starts (walking using the coconut shell)

- one of our players in the bike relay -

- that’s 3 full men already yet the prize is still quite far to reach -

Everyone had fun!  Not just playing but also eating.  After the worship, we had pahina (cleaning) then the pa-init (pre breakfast snack), then parlor games.  AFter the parlor games was the volleyball game for women first and the men after the women.

In the afternoon (after lunch) was the basketball game.  I watched for 30 minutes only then at 4 pm, i went home because i was very very tired and sleepy.  My body was not in it’s normal self so i was so tired.

Baby Diaper For Me

This is a disposable diaper. And according to wikipedia, a disposable diaper is ” disposable diapers contain absorbent chemicals and are thrown away after use.”

I thought that dispo diapers are only for babies because i saw my kids have time with it and dispo diapers abound now in all grocery stores. If not babies, i know of adults who are using dispo diapers and they are the ones that are bed ridden, or ones that does have the control of their bladder suffering from urinary incontinence and it is the same with fecal incontinence. Am not yet into this level of adulthood but am using disposal diaper now. :) If i have just know it earlier or years later, then i have saved myself for washing stained sheets.  It was last month that i was feelign bad because my newly changed sheet was stained 2 nights later and my period rans for 3-4 days.  My mom told me about disposable diapers.  AS she described to me how to use it, i promised myself that the next month am going to use it.  Maria came last night and it was already profuse this morning when i took my bath at 5 am for an activity in school.     I played but later in the afternoon i was feeling flooded already.  I went home around past 4 and after shower went to sleep. But i was not having a straight sleep because i was conscious that am gonna stained my sheets again.

So earlier before getting online, i picked myself a Large size EQ diaper.  I think EQ is the cheapest of all diapers in shops.  I dunno now but that was it back when my kids were still babies.   I vowed to use this at night time for the first 3 nights.  All you need are two safety pins to hold the diaper in place.  Am feeling comfortable now as I sitting here infront of my PC.

How about you ladies out there?  Do you have problems like mine?  Then maybe you would like to use disposable diaper at night.  It’s so comfy.

WR - Nov 10-16

It seems my mind was blank of the activities i did during the whole week but it’s sure that i go to work daily. Blogged daily, get online daily, and also chat with friends and relatives during the whole week.  I have gone to the shopping mall one day last week and i forgot which day was exactly that.

Last Friday, after the faculty and staff meeting, i went to the city with my mind not yet sure on what to do.  I thought of having my hair dyed at 1,200, but a friend said that it’s better if i will have it rebond at 1,500.  Since i was not sure of what to do, i didn’t do either of that.  I jst proceeded to the telephone company to inquire about my connection why it’s not yet working then went to buy some groceries.  Bought 4 pcs of hankies, then one blouse for my mom.  I also bought a new pair of footwear (blue one) that i used in church last Saturday.

After quite sometime, i went to church last Saturday because i had a part during the Divine Worship.  I gave the stewardship reflection.  The story i told them was a nice one but no matter how much i practiced it, i still go a word usage error. Haiii oh well tao lang naman tayo, but even then, i felt funny thinking about it.

PH - Ruin/ed

I love nature shots!  But when the view is ruined by man’s carelessness, then i would feel sad.  See that cigarrette butts?  They should not be there.  Actually when i shoot this, i did not see those garbage.  I jst saw them when i uploadeed the pics in my pc.  So i wish, that somehow people will be responsible enough to take good care of nature.

Til laterz am off to doze off now.  It;s week-end you know. hehehe

Friday Fill-Ins {nov 14}

1. Please feel free to pour out your heart.  Am all ears.
2. When I have a new pair of sneakers I can’t help sniffing it occasionally.
3. My favorite thing to cook is pasta (spaghetti).
4. Shoes is something I can’t get enough of.
5. That’s the thing I love most about being a mom and dad at the same time - i have to handle all parenting ups and downs all the time.
6.  Parasites and hypocrites  always makes me think to myself, what the heck?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to late sleep, tomorrow my plans include going to church because i have a part during Divine Worship and Sunday, I want to wake up early to be ontime for the 5 am activity.

When SAHM-one Asks # 17

Does your partner remember important dates such as anniversaries and birthday or do you keep a calendar to remind him?  Same as Mitch, my guy remembers my birthday, dimple’s birthday and the anniversary year and month but forgot the exact date.  He does not also take time to remember the birthdays of his family and even his birthday.  I never remind him except if he totally forgets about dates.

SWF # 22

Photobucket

one of the skies i took weeks back.  I will never forget the sky view from Sarangani Highlands. :)

I am filling up a form now to be sent back to Redwood City, California.  Am still halfway in filling up and i have so many data that are not yet in and that includes some phone numbers.  Luckily i can browse it now online. Nationwide Phone Lookup has been launched for the convenience of everyone. So anywhere you go, and you forgot your address book and even your phonebooks at home, it is now online.  Almost everything is convenient now.  Thanks to innovative mentality almost everything now is just a click away. :)

This Blog on EC

At last i have added this blog to my EC account.  My other blog - Dancing in Midlife Tune was active with EC last year yet but i was the one who is not active in dropping.  I just understood the whole function of it just months back through my friend Iris.  Though i kept on asking on how to add an additional blog to my EC account, it was only through Lainy’s explanation i got it right because it was a must that i should make an EC account for this blog because for everyone’s information this blog won 1000 EC credits lately.  :)  And on top of that 1000 EC credits, everyday from November 6, i have droppers.  So i want to thank them all.  I hope to make a summary of them all at the end of this month.

My entry yesterday depicted a very dramatic sky.  There’s still beauty in it but we wanted it to go away because we were wanting to reach the Overview pass in Tawas.  But inspite we wanted to reach the place as soon as we can, the driver wanted to stop to shoot some mountains nearby.  It was also a chance for my daughter to relieve herself, so we went down the car.  I was so afraid that the black clouds would break and then we would not be able to go up the viewing deck. Oh well…

Did it rain before we reached the viewing deck?

It did not rain yet but after ten minutes of appreciating the view with our cameras, it started to shower.  Five of us ran up the stairs and down back to our vehicle.
