I Was There

I was away for the weekend and where I was?  Check out these two photos:

These were two big events, so, this week, I will alternately post MBS 3 related entrieshere in this blog and in my Midlifedancing blog.

I many photos to share and i hope i can share some here in my blog but possibly all in my Facebook account.

Today, we went on to a city tour and been to the interior of the places where i just passes by for all my adult years.  Good thing the trip went on fine.  We did not met any accidents or else we would be needed lawyers like New York accident lawyers. The city tour group was split in two and we enjoyed all the places we visited in spite the heat of the sun.

I discovered myself this afternoon that i got sunburned.  Good thing it was not so serious but there’s really a burn mark in my arms and on my chest.  According to Milo cleavage daw. lol!

This year’s MBS was hosted by the CDO Bloggers:

Each of them was called up the stage for a big applause from the participants.  :)

I also got some MBS 3 memorablia shots with MBS big people and these two are just the first few:

This is me with Blogie Robillo, the founder of Mindanao Bloggers Community.   He was also one of the awardee last night. His blog Ang Dabawenyo won a Globe Tatoo Tribe Award.

This is my second time to meet both these guys and i hope to meet them again next Summit.

Thanks Chito for making the correction.  Congratulations to your blog -  Davaobase Dot Com for being Mindanao Bloggers Choice and got the award.

Happy Birthday!

It’s Avel Manansala’s birthday.  To those who of you who does not know him he is the Bariles,  one of the famous Mindanao bloggers, and the man behind GenSantos (dot) com.   I’ve met him only once  but i can say that he is a very friendly and accommodating person — he loves showing Gen Santos to visitor who visits the city of his life.  We met during the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit in General Santos City in October last year.

Now it’s his birthday and i wish him many more birthdays to come.  And i wish too that if there would be another blogger’s summit, I would meet him again to hand him my gift. :-)

So Avel, higala ug igsoon nga Mindanaon -

and by the way, he is trying to set a world record of receiving the most birthday greetings ever — so i would suggest you to drop by his blog to greet him.

I Made It There!

As i mentioned last week, i’d like to say big thank you to the admin of Paraiso Philippines for giving me the chance to join the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit last week-end in General Santos City.  It was a memorable experience and made me think that in the next summits to come, i should take the time to attend.  Thank you too for sponsoring the one way gas expense of one of the speakers in the person of Mr. Bobby Timonera that enabled Dimple to tag along with me or else if i have taken the bus, she can never come along.

It was my first time to join the convention.  The first summit was held in Davao last year but i didn’t heard about that one besides from the fact that i just  started blogging around that time.   The theme of the convention was”"Mindanawon Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness.” Each speaker shares informations that can be a useful in improving one’s blog.    In short, i can say that everyone in the big room agrees that there are many things Mindanao can show to the world more then bad news and bombings.

Aside from the inspiring thoughts and tips of all speakers, one of the unforgetable happening out there is that, i made friends with most bloggers who are out there.  I have a long list of blogs to be visited and i hope to visit them one by one as soon as i got the time.   I was also able to pose with most of the speakers and am gonna post more of my pics in my Photoblog, if not tonight, the soonest.

I grabbed this program in JPEG file from Lainy’s blog as i want to share it here.  Lainy was part of the secretariat of the event and we end up chatting during the Tuna Cocktail.  She shared with me some good tips on how to earn more with my blogs and i hope i can apply it to myself soon.  Here’s the program.

Here are some proofs of my attendance: “:)

- @ 7:30 i was already at the site.

- my E-pass. Got it Thursday afternoon.

- because i made it early to the site, i was rewarded this Word Camp T-shirt. And am so happy, it fits Dimple in a fashionable way.  So that became hers right away.
