This is a very stale post.  Oppss not a post but a late sharing of experience.  I should have done this the day after the outing but there were other things on the top list that writing about the mommy and daughter bonding was put aside.

I should have entitled this post: Lakwatsa sa Kitkai but as other PU2B bloggers know, non-english posts are not allowed in blogs that work for PU2B.

One week ago – May 25, Tuesday, Dimple and I had the chance to go to Cagayan de Oro just for fun.  I took a day’s leave from work just for the reason of going out with her and at the same time sending off my boss and his wife to the airport.  After dropping them off at the airport at 9:30 am, we are all left to ourselves with a vehicle and of course with a driver.

I asked Dimple where she wants to go.  I gave her two places – SM or Kit Kai Complex and she chose the later.  So from 10 am until the time we went home at 3 pm, we were at Kitkai.

Now, i want to let the photos do the talking.  I am just too overwhelmed with something today so i can’t think much on what to blah:

The boss had some transaction inside.

The driver drives so comfortably for the boss wife that it took us 2 hours to travel from Iligan to the center of Cagayan de Oro.  It was a drag but we still had time so the boss did not complain.

It took us awhile to decide where to eat lunch.  After two hours of going from one end to the other in the Kit Kai complex, we become hungry.  I was craving for korean food while Dimple wanted Japanese because she’s crazy with Japanese anime stuff .  I asked her if she knew of any Jap resto in KitKai as she had the time to go out with her another “anime-crazy” bestfriend one time and she told me of this – Rai Rai Ken.  I saw one Korean  restaurant near Gaisano Mall but it was too hot to out – so we both decided that Rai Rai Ken will satisfy our cravings.

She settled for a lunch box serving while i had the beef bowl (beef with fresh egg and fried vege at the side)

After lunch, i told her that we need an hour or more to go leisurely walk around to relax our stomachs.  She was looking for this anime stuff and i was also looking out for stuff with “for sale” signs.  I also want to find the exit because i wanna see the view below and also i wanna take some sky shots.

My girl was in high spirits.  I cooperated with her on the things she wanna do like hopping from one book store to another and an hour before going home, we really need to find the shop where she can buy those black stuff she and her classmates are crazy about (i can’t relate) lol!  She was in good mood but not in the mood for mommy-daughter photos.  But then, she allowed me to take one because  she said, “I was very cooperative and i took time to go around with her. “

I am a sucker of sky views so let me share this sky shot taken at the Bulua Terminal.  We passed by there to pick some Dunkin donuts for Cloyd’s neices and nephew:

Sorry if it took me some days to make this post. I felt i had a tiring weekend so i rested and then my week just start now.

Anyway, i was looking forward to last weekend because it was the weekend my beloved D turned 12. Her birthday was really 26th but since it was Sabbath so it hindered us to prepare something nice for her. We agreed to have a little celebration the next day. She agreed of course but on the 26th morning, a surprise arrived! Her friends from the MAS serenaded her. So i was forced to get up so that I can join the worship. When i went out of the room, my daughter was looking out at the window really appreciating the songs sang for her. She gave me that sweet smile and in my mind i mused “you really like this, huh!” But it her day so i just kept my mouth shut. I did not worry about food as i was thinking I will invite them to come back the next day for the food. After worship, we only served them the Rambutan my cousin brought in from Bukidnon the night before.

After they’re gone, i cooked food for breakfast while Dimple took bath to prepare for church.  Here’s what we got for breakfast:

I just made sure she had that that day.  No chocolates nor piece of cake as i told her she will have nice food only the next day. lol!  I always think that noodles represent long life.

After breakfast, she dressed herself to church and i guess i went back to sleep while she prepared herself.  I was still so sleepy.  But i woke up when she went out of the door – i told her i will take some photos.  So here she is:

I think that is my shoe size when i was still in highschool.  I feel she is going to have a bigger and longer foot size.  It’s like am marvelled at how fast she has grown for her age.

Dimple was not feeling very well but due to medical check-up result that made me get over with my worry, i really did want to drag her with me to the city.  My mom told me that we let her rest but she wanted to go so she went with me.

First stop was at the Goldilucks outlet to order the cake for her.  Money?  Thanks to donors. .  Why Goldilucks kasi yon ang gusto ng donor.   Nearby the place is the newest building in town, not just new but biggest.  We have the biggest Gaisano mall i think more bigger than what Cagayan de Oro has or even Ozamis.  So we walked there as i have in mind to buy some ingredients for her bday recipes.  The place is not yet totally done, so i can feel the dust in my eyes and even in my nose. 

While on our way to the city she told me what the doctor told her.  What’s ok to eat and what’s not ok.  Even perfumes are not allowed so it’s like she’s telling me that it is ok she kiddie bad! lol!  So i was worried when we were inside the mall.  It’s both our first time.  The building was opened to the public last July 29 but it was mobbed by people for quite sometime, plus the peace and order in the city was erratic before the Ramadan, so i was not able to get in there when there were lots of promos and opening sale.

The place was not very much packed today so we enjoyed the time there but still we hurried out due to the dust. i was thinking of her.  But we did not go home without a visit to the Mc Donalds. The first Mc Do in town which i think become the busiest Mc Do in the country for a month.

Since she did not have fever again last night, she was back to school today so that she won’t miss any quizzes.  At 6 am, i find myself alone with her.  I really wish for a set-up like this, just me and her in an everday life.  I would wonder how will we get along with the household chores, but i think we would be doing ok. 

My mom left for a meeting in CDO early today that is why at 6 I have to get up to check what we will have for breakfast.  She was up too bt not before her grandma left so she was left wondering if her grandma carried some bottle of water or any food to really make her alright along the way.  At 7:15 we both left the house.

IN the afternoon at 5, i tried to call home no one answered. So either of them are not yet home.  I came home late because there was some farewell get together held at the “Admin” kitchen, so i have to stay back to overlook the place especially the after care so i just can’t go home at 5:30.  Since i can’t get home late, i was wondering if she was home and what she will do home being alone.  I got so many thoughts in mind that makes me at times tag myself as a no good mom.  But i kept that thought aside instead strive hard to really become a good mom.

When i arrived home, she’s already in, reading, and my mom taking a shower.  I carried some slices of choc cake and 2 pcs of cheesy puto (one for her and one for my mom) and she was happy. 

It was good to be home!

she missed school today. she has a high temp yesterday mornin in school but she called home only in the afternoon. her sleep was on and off due to her fever, but this mornin, it was down but she complains of dizzyness and heaviness in the head.

i called home awhile back and she told me she’s going to sleep.

hope she will be well today so that she can be back to school tomorrow.

Last tuesday as i was posting my entry, i was also learning at the same time a new thing with PS.  I really like to share this because never had I imagine i could do this.  But now i realized that with a little tutoring and a determination to learn, one can really learn.

Thanks to Rhoen for the patience in teaching me the steps to make these picture frames.

–am really happy that i was able to learn this kind of framing.  these were what ive done after the tutorial.  it’s a week ago today.  from time to time, i tried to frame more pics.  i have not yet memorized the steps, so i still look at my notes.

Another thing to make me a happy momma is that last Friday, i picked my daughter’s first grading card in school.  It was not really the high of my standards but still better off then others. She got the highest grade of 95 and the lowest of 91.  I have some doubts if that will still increase or not, but i hope it won’t go down anymore.
