Shoot Me 23/52

MondAy this week was the open house of the Boys and Girls Dormitory of the College. I have no camera of my own but I remember to borrow from one of the girls so i made a few photos. In one room (i think the most beautiful of all the 12 room) they had their camera ready and they click it when anyone comes in to visit their room. And here’s me with them:

Here’s me as i entered their room. I took a photo of their room right away because when i came in the beauty of their room awed me. Their color is pink and black and they are on a festive mood (Musical). They sing How Do you Do the moment you come in and really welcome you that you will feel at home right away. The musical instruments displayed really showed off their theme.

~~ Me with the room occupants. Minus the one who took the photo ~~

Music is all around us
We just have to feel it…

Shoot Me! It’s time to stop hiding behind that camera of yours. Your family is missing you in the picture. So it’s time to post a picture of YOU (yes, you) every Thursday with your child, your spouse, your friend, your dog, or even by yourself. Just get in the picture, you’ll be glad you did! And just jump in now with 1 of 52, you can do it

Glimpses of Orman

Posted by: adminin friendship in friendship

Actually i have two titles for this post – Glimpses of Orman ba or Too Near yet Too Far.  Why Too Near yet too Far?  Because we were already in one event, in one room yet I haven’t asked him if i can have a photo taken with him.

This is not a contest entry.  Hindi nalang dahil naabutan ako ng deadline.  Tapos na ang contest yet i have planned of making this post but i was just too busy since i move to another deparment at the start of the week.  So i lost track of time.  Too many reasons (stupid reasons) kulang nalang talaga sabihin na matanda na ako kaya nakalimutan ko na ang mga dapat ko gawin sa buhay blogger ko.

The culimation or the finale  of all contests for GESM is the blog-writing-photo-contest.  The moment i read the post here i knew right away that i can’t make the desired post dahil wala kaming picture dalawa ng royal gandaness ng Gen San.  Hinalungkat ko ang baol ng MBS3 ko kahit alam ko na wala kaming litrato na kami lang dalawa.  Nor a photo of me and him and everyone!

But guess what?  I have glimpses of Orman~~

The royal gandaness of Gen San having a chat with the handsome Adel Tamano

Si Adel ang pakay ko sa aking litrato but hindi yan ibig sabihin na talbog ni Adel ang beauty ni Orman.  Magkaiba kaya sila ng beauty.  I just wished i have asked them both to face me.

Another glimpse of the friendly Orman:

No particular person is focused in this shot.  It was at this point that everyone is taking pictures – feeling the ambience of being in an MBS event.   Although before this shot, i took this —

Kilala nyo sino ito?

Oh well, this is the Orman’s ever loving kapatid!

At bakit meron akong kuha na picture ni Avel at wala kay Orman?

Dahil ay….di pa kami friends ni Orman!

It was my first time to have a glimpse of Orman.
It was my first time to know din na kapatid pala sya ni Avel.
Orman was not introduced to me.  Kahit man lang magkalapit tables namin.

Here’s another one:

Here’s another of me and Avel after thePinoy  Bloggers Awards Night.

Bakit walang Orman again?

I am sorry Orman!

Pansin kita but di pa tayo friends kahit man lang sa plurk. hehhee

If given the chance again — MBS 4 or MBS 5 or any Mindanao bloggers event na magtagpo tayo ulit, for sure i’d love to take a lot of photos with you.  Sana pagbigyan mo ako.  :)

Here’s another (the last) of some glimpses of you:

(please click on the photo to enlarge)

If i am right — this is a group of Gen San and Davao bloggers.  Ako kumuha sa litrato na ito and this was already after the group picture.

I know Orman can be a great friend.
Reading his thoughts through his entries, i know madali lang sya kaibiganin.

But marunong din sya maging mataray..na mataray to the max.
But if pairalin nya ang kanyang pagka loving then love nya talaga ang kanyang mga friends.

Wish you another year of fruitful blogging years, Orman!

Mabuhay ang GESM!

I wish i can make it to your party on Saturday night.

Enjoy enjoy enjoy….

Oppss huwag mo lang kalimutan e mail ang mga panalo ko sa previous contests! =)

This is Sandy and Me. She is the wife of my cousin and we have been friends online for a long time (around 5 years or so) as they were residing in Washington State and later California.   My cousin hasn’t been home for 13 years and their visit was a surprise to us all. Last week was our first time to meet each other in flesh. It was fun! Last Friday we went swimming with more than a hundred relatives and it was really really fun!

More reunion photos next week. :)

I love potlucks!  I love to see the people getting food to their plates. I love to see long lines with people with different facial expressions.  On my part, i now love preparing the food for potlucks.  I feel lucky to have a boss who loves to cook and really knows how to cook.

Last Saturday, after the Baccalaureate Program of the kids, the seniors with their parents also had a potluck.  There was so much food for everyone.  But i saw that not all kids were present.  There were also parents who were not around but their kids were there.

I think everyone had fun.  I had fun, too. I didn’t eat rice. I just had some fruits but took backed spaghetti for carbs and protein. What i love in that particular potluck was, there was no server.  You can just fall in line, pick the food you want as much you want – then eat!

P3200133

Everyone’s digging in! You can see them. Right?  I can see my girl getting her food.

P3200134

While others were busy getting food at the start of the table, the others were also busy getting their share of desserts.  Others just had desserts because they are on a diet.  I was on a diet so i ate fruits first.  I don’t like to take diet pills and experience diet pill side effects.  The bounce effect is not good especially for those who easily get depressed. I was already there so i can say.

After the fruits, i had bake spag, and fruits again.  When i was about to finish my meal, someone gave me some grilled chicken, so i ate a bit.  When i arrived home in the evening, i took some anti histamine pill.

How about you?  Do you do potlucks in your church? How often do you have potlucks in  a year?  I love potlucks that i even thought, when i get married, the reception will be a potluck. lol!

Outing with Friends

The  other day i took a pizza quiz because i was sort of craving for pizza.  There is a pizza place around here in the city that sounds famous yet never been there yet — not until last night.  I heard they served the biggest pizza one could ever see (although not as big as the one Guinness Records).  So i tagged along with some friends last night in going to Calda.  And this is the pizza that we had:

P3170212

This looks big but there is still the biggest to this.  Possibly as big as this table.   If you look closely it is made up of two kinds of toppings. :D

I am thinking of bringing my family out there in the future.  For sure the kids would love it. :)

I got an email earlier last week that she is coming this way very soon.  She also left her number so i could text her.  As i want to really meet her even long time ago, i texted her and of course wanted a meet-up!  And we did!  Last Saturday (February 27, 2010, 5:30 pm)

P2270146 cropped

We just asked any of the waiters to take a picture of us.  This is just for documentation purposes but i cropped it to hide my big tummy. hahahaa Yen is very beautiful and in person.  She got a very sweet and friendly smile that right away i feel it’s like we’re not meeting for the first time.  We had a quick dining at Mandarin REsto at the Gaisano Mall.

Yen is the author of the blogs, Notablebistro and Around the World and Me and Mine.  Something went wrong with her Me and Mine so the blog does not currently exist. We met online through blogging in 2007 (just when i started blogging) and it’s so nice to feel that after two years we met in person.

Thank you Yen for taking time to meet.  I now understand how busy you are and at least this time you took time to see me.  Nagkita na jud ta!  I hope we meet again next time and promise I won’t be in a hurry to leave for an appointment.

This meeting made me wish for meetings with  other online friends in the future.  It’s great online kindness and friendliness be felt in the real world.

Convenient Job for Her

Posted by: adminin life in life

My friend is scheduled to join her hubby around early next year.  Midyear the most if she can’t make it in March.  While processing her papers, she has to stop working because she incurred too many leaves and absences to the point that she has to resign from work.  Resigning from work was the right thing to do because she traveled back and forth Manila and my hometown.  Right now, she is only into waiting one of the important documents and her hubby promised that she will go on March.  It’s still 3 months away and she is almost bored staying at home.  Why? because she on do chatting online and farming on facebook and browsing.  Someone suggested to her to start a blog and  then maybe after sometime, work online, or sell some beauty products.  One friend introduced her to a company that provide affordable health insurance to people. After 5 weeks of canvassing the insurance, she made good sales! Me and another friend always advised her not to give up because we think it’s a convenient job for her. Really convenient because she is her own boss. And she can stop canvassing anytime she leaves for the US.

They Turn 12

they turned 12

How time flies!

Dimple (my daughter) was born September 26 in 1997 at Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital in Iligan City while Josh (Bebb’z son) was born on October 11, 1997 at Bacolod Sanitarium and Hospital in Bacolod City.

The exchange of letters between me and Bebbot all those preggy months were regular.  We were sharing each and every milestone of our pregnancy.  I gave birth ahead and right after i got home i have to share with her via phone what happened if there was pain or how much was the pain.

After she gave birth, we still kept writing and tried to compare the features of our baby.  Both babies are cute when they were still small but as they grew up i realized that Josh is lean and very tall while Dimple is also tall but a bit chubby.  :)

I wish that one day we could get together for birthday celebration.  The babies met when they were 6 months old in Bacolod. :)   Then the next time was in December 2006 in Cebu City.

I miss Bebbz and her long and newsy letters. I miss the kids too…They are really growing so fast.  Each of us now are caught in our personal activities but we still manage to say hi through YM and lately through FB. :)   No matter what i know Bebbz and I will always be friends forever. :)

It’s Christmas in less than 50 days and i have already halfway checking my list for the recipients of my yearly Christmas cards. I like to post my cards early week of December so that it reach them at Christmas. I have already done the photos to be attached to the cards, too!

Hmmm I really miss Christmas with Bebbz and family. We were together during Christmas 2006 in Cebu.

I Was There

I was away for the weekend and where I was?  Check out these two photos:

PA240921

PA241020

These were two big events, so, this week, I will alternately post MBS 3 related entrieshere in this blog and in my Midlifedancing blog.

I many photos to share and i hope i can share some here in my blog but possibly all in my Facebook account.

Today, we went on to a city tour and been to the interior of the places where i just passes by for all my adult years.  Good thing the trip went on fine.  We did not met any accidents or else we would be needed lawyers like New York accident lawyers. The city tour group was split in two and we enjoyed all the places we visited in spite the heat of the sun.

I discovered myself this afternoon that i got sunburned.  Good thing it was not so serious but there’s really a burn mark in my arms and on my chest.  According to Milo cleavage daw. lol!

This year’s MBS was hosted by the CDO Bloggers:

PA240974
Each of them was called up the stage for a big applause from the participants.  :)

I also got some MBS 3 memorablia shots with MBS big people and these two are just the first few:

PA240986

With Avel “Bariles” of Gensan Dot Com.  Gen San hosted the MBS  2 last year and that was spearheaded by him.  His blog won the best Mindanao travel blog in the Philippine Blog Awards.

PA240987

This is me with Blogie Robillo, the founder of Mindanao Bloggers Community.   He was also one of the awardee last night. His blog Ang Dabawenyo won a Globe Tatoo Tribe Award.

This is my second time to meet both these guys and i hope to meet them again next Summit.

Note:  11/2/09
Thanks Chito for making the correction.  Congratulations to your blog -  Davaobase Dot Com for being Mindanao Bloggers Choice and got the award.
