The president of the Central Student Union of this college is one of our boys in the dormitory.  He confessed the other night that he was so stressed out already for two weeks.  So stress that he is missing his meals and even have less sleep in the night.  If it can just be, he won’t sleep so that all the plans and preparations will be done accordingly.   Although he had nicely done the delegation, but still stress won’t leave him.  He is still to oversee everything, you know.  I bet it was his associates or the guys next to him who did the shopping in one of the wholesale lots in the neighboring city. They just need so much stuff for giveaways to winners (aside from the points) and also to those officers (CSU and COP) who worked hard to make this opening program a success!

So a week of freeing their minds from their books and medical paraphernalias! Goodluck to all who will play and perform this week!

It’s another Pasingot time!

It’s another week that the students of MSH College look forward to.  Why?  They just like to play and perform and come to school in their casual attire.  At least for this week, they do away with their white uniforms.

I wish i have a camera to capture the sports and social moments of the students these semester.    Their decoration is not so lavish but it’s very beautiful.  The program will begin in awhile amidst the showers from heaven.  Hopefully it won’t rain hard.

I started moving my things after work this afternoon. At 8:30 all the moving and the arranging were done. Am so tired right now but i felt happy of my accomplishments. It’s not easy to move down from the 4th floor of the building and has to go up the 3rd floor of another building. There was only one bag that really drained my strength. I put in all my folded clothes (all as in all) in one big bag and that was the heaviest. I just carry with all my hanged clothes as it is and placed it right away in the new locker assigned to me. Good thing that the elevator goes up to the 4th floor so it lessened the time in my moving.

I moved into a pastel green-colored room. The locker is bigger than i had in the other building. My bed becomes taller because i put in two mattresses in case my daughter comes for a visit. To minimize the space i just have to put the two mattresses together. I need a foot stool to get to the top of my bed.

99% of my stuff are already here. What’s left over there are a few foot wears and my bathroom stuff. I also need to help moving our office stuff in the morning before reporting to work. I felt a little bad for not helping Ma’am JD in moving the big stuff but i really have to stay in the office most of the time today.

I really wish i have my camera and i could have document everything in pictures. Oh well i should stop wishing now and work hard so that i can buy a new point and shoot camera in a month or two.

Oh i want to note that I have stayed in the 4th floor of the MSH Annex Building from middle of November until June 7, 2010. I will never forget my stay there. Many if not all are good times – especially when i behold the many beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

The previous Girls’ Dormitory is in the 4th floor of this building.

I wish i could show where is our new dorm now but just can’t.  Maybe in later months.

For sure i am going to miss this:

Last night it rained and i didn’t know it rained slow all night because i woke up to a foggy morning (not in the dorm) in the distant hills.  I even took pictures of it because the view is not always like that.

P4270067 See this pic, the sky is thick with greyish clouds so i said to myself that it’s not going to be a very hot day.  Yesterday, when the Operation Smile started, the sun was sizzling.  Plus the situation where we didn’t have electric power from 9 am until the afternoon.  I bet it was an uncomfortable situation at the registration area but i saw the patience not minding the heat because i know that they were looking forward  that their patient will be fixed.

This afternoon, it rained from time to time but at a little bit past 5 pm it rained so hard as in hard.  I imagine myself running outside in the rain and have my photo taken but it’s impossible so i just continue beating my treadmill time.  I was also sweating lots so i still look like am drench in the rain.

As of now, the world outside is cool.  Very cool.  I am hoping that tomorrow, it’s going to be like this so that the hours from 9 am to 5 pm will just be a bit comfortable.  That’s another 8 hrs of no power in the daytime during office hours.  It’s really a big strain on our bulk of work plus the fact that it is so hot because we still have the el niño weather.  I now really look forward when the summer heat will be over.

Again, I thank God for the rain.  Am sure it gave a smile on the farmer’s face today.  We are not farmers here at our end but we are happy because it made our environment cooler.  I bet God knows that it was so hot already so He sends the rain.

Here’s a

for all of you!

Looks am early in the office.  :-) I have so many things to do.  It’s like my week started right.  My “to do list” was well done but when the electric power was off at 3 pm the well planned tasks were not done.  It came back at almost 6 pm but not much done because it was important to join the worship/meeting last night in the dormitory.

Am suppose to be in at 10 am yet but i did not have a good sleep thinking i got very important things to do this morning before the power will be cut at 12 noon ( again and again!)

Now, let me cut this rant and let me get to work.  I hope to be back here later today to more updates and of course to do some unfinished tasks. I hope to finish them today unless Sheriff sent me additional tasks for the week.

New Semester Has Just Began

We had a long weekend lately so the second semester for MSH College oficially started last Tuesday.  Though the enrollment is still going on yet the classes has already began.  There were major moves of departments so construction in some part of the campus is going on.

Not far from the campus, there is one residential area that is working on garage flooring renovation. The materials used gave some workers idea that maybe they too will have a garage face-lift when their finances allow them. Good thing for me, i don’t have a garage so i don’t have to worry about that.

I wish this school a happy and productive second semester. If the number of enrolled students are not as much as 3 years ago, well, i just knew that this school is going to survive. This is God’s school ya know.

Our Weekend Memoirs

I miss weekends like this – where we forget the stress of work.  It’s only time like this that we get to laugh our hearts out.  Cheers for our friends like what we used to when we were young kids.  It’s moments like this when the kids in us take some time to be out. :)

A week ago today, was a busy crazy day for me. (oppssss) this post as continued today. I started this post Saturday afternoon but was not able to finish this. Now it’s Tuesday over here and i really have to finish this.

I will be showing off the photos one by one and will have a small description in each of them. Enjoy!

Our Weekend Memoirs

At last i can now post my OWM. I know i should have done this anytime of Sunday or before i went home that late evening, but i was too tired to resize the photos that i would be showing off this current issue.

This weekend, our College celebrated it’s 15th Founding Anniversary! Personally, I feel so proud and happy to be part of the family especially when i think of the its humble beginnings. It was mentioned by the father of the college last Satuday afternoon that they started using the vacated elementary school building (my alma mater) as their first classrooms. I can just just imagine! Being an MSH kid, it’s been my dream to be connected with the hospital as in hospital but being connected with the hospital college, i felt it’s still partly a dream come true. :)

I have many photos made over the weekend but if i was not part of the food committee then i could have shot more moments.  But even then — i will share with you all some photos taken Friday afternoon until the Saturday.  :)   ok?  –

The nursing department faculty and staff led the Sabbath school program.  Since it was the last Sabbath of July, it was part of their program to honor the July celebrants – those who celebrated their birthday, anniversaries, baptism, and other celebrations.  Since am a Julynian I stood up and joined the group in the front and we received this token plus a prayer.   One thing i observed that day — the color was RED. RUBY RED.  A timely color for the crystal anniversary.   By the way, that token is a pen holder.  I thought of keeping it at home but decided to just use it in the office. :)   It now graces my cluttered office table. hehehehe

p1010229

In the afternoon, the highlight of the program was the interview portion of MSH Personalities.  One thing to note was that one of the participants was one of the founding administrator of the College in the person of Mrs. LG Pefanco.   The youngest of the group was the current Registrar, Miss VG Manga.  The other two is the DSF – Mr. C Estoque and the DSA – Ms. PA Eusebio.  All of them shared beautiful experiences.  The program did not end there as everyone thought.  After that was the ambush interview of –

the President – Dr. ECA Nadal.  He shared many beautiful beginning moments of the College that really made us realized that God has done great things for this College.

p1010246

After the program, we went around the basketball to see the streamers/tarpaulined greetings.  This is Ma’am Ruby, one of the pioneer teachers of the College.  (See she’s in Red, too!)

This is all for now.  Maybe next OWM issue, will post more about this Crystal celebration. :)

Sorry for being late – but late is better than never. :)

The moment i got on top of the Lover’s Rock, the sky looks like this. The sun was at this level and it was a wonderful view. After taking sky shots, we alternate taking photos of ourselves. I really enjoyed the time hanging out with the General Education faculty. I thought awhile that it feels like am one of them. lol! But anway, while spending more time, the sun continued to set then i was able to capture this moment.  Not just me but everyone on top of the Lover’s Rock.    And the change happened in just a couple of minutes.
